If we’re looking for some solid counters, my first thoughts (of 7* champs) would be:

Adam Warlock, Angela, Gamora, Gladiator, Hyperion, Medusa, Nova, Serpent, maybe Sersi, maybe SIM, Aarkus, and maybe Vox.

Worth noting that his immunity to having his ability accuracy and combat power rate altered counters Aarkus and Medusa’s armor shatter effects. Which is rude, since I have both of them at r3

Maybe Galan? It doesn't say that the damage cap reduces burst damage, unless it works like FAM

Medusa relies on crits right? Zola reduces crit penetration by 80% also she can't bleed Zola.
Whats confusing about arnim is the max health single source it says sp3 ignores it yet u get a 90% cowardice so is sp3 gonna actually be affected actually?
I’ve been thinking about that too. Sp3s can sometimes escape certain activations because they functionally exist outside the normal flow of the fight. Maybe they do bypass the cowardice. We won’t know for sure until we get hands on with him.
For your info Nimrod has Cowardice in his kit as well which works similar to Zola. Nimrod puts 40% cowardice when opponent launches special, this one reduces sp3 special damage as well.

If so then whats the point of the sp3 is excluded doing more than 10% when we have 90% less damage most champs will just do 1%

10% clause is for his health, 90% clause is for opponent special damage. But yeah you are true that most champs will do less damage. I think they put this counter Magneto.

For when you’re using him on offense. Some defenders can still clean your clock with only 10% of their sp3 damage.

I think any champ which depends on dot after special works well. Like wiccan for example. The cowardice only reduces sp damage, it won't affect the dot damage inflicted by specials right?

    I think just the special

I guess so im just thinking more defense terms since this is where we will see him everywhere if u play bgs or war sp3 ur basically doing little since ur not doing more than probably 1% since the cowardice being super high.

Also to note is this the strongest cowardice now in game? As a single effect

with sentinel buff, arcade buff and now zola, Tech defense is really redefined now. These new guys can't be nuked by cgr and hulking easily, and tech went from being the worst defensive class to top 2/3.

And vox is the one common counter to all 3 annoying new tech defenders. Dot for sentinel, undermine for arcade, and dot + basic damage for zola. Rank up your voxes!!

    He's GREAT,
the 10% cap like in FAM's sig but In base kit is huge
Almost straight up banning special attacks is huge
Full health regan more than one time is huge (even if the durations get pretty long, even 1 time is exceptional, like with Sentinel)
Attacks that don't make contact r a nice touch
    Sleep is super great
Disintegration is a pretty good source of dmg.
Now, his dmg is worrying, but between the fact he can get 5 armor breaks with a duration of a few literal minutes with 5000 potency, energizes, and like, -80% combat power rate on the opponent thanks to sp2 Disintegrations (which then means a MUCH BIGGER heavy attack chain than what we have seen, and so a MUCH BIGGER number of Disintegration on the enemy) I feel like there's a long term dmg potential, we just haven't seen it, I'm so excited to get him

Arcades still nuked by cgr hulkling angela out of the 3 only zola seems most impactful as sure sentinel has his power gain he can still be shut down by medusa void scream

There seems to be some confusion regarding cowardice. Cowardice only affects the damage the special attack does not the affects it cause like it doesn't reduce Vox degeneration damage nor does it reduce Kate bishop coldsnap or Gladiator debuffs.

So this can be countered by someone who does damage through debuffs vias specials. Champs who does burst damage through specials will be hindered tho unless it is direct damage like Galan which will still be maxed at 10%.

My counter will be Deathless Thanos-Zola's defensive weakness is heavy attacks, and the point is you won't have as a good time throwing a heavy cuz u can't really parry Stun him normally, thank God for D Thanos' combo into heavy stun

The new arcade stalls hulkling and everything needs to line up for cgr to nuke. Scream literally sucks against sentinel.

I'll still rate arcade over zola since zola is mainly a tank not a champ which deals unavoidable damage.

Only the special, so Kate Bishop should still be an option

Spot on, Zola is a stall defender while Arcade is someone who is annoying causes health loss. For comparison Zola is like Fury and Arcade is like Bullseye, sure you can take Arcade if you have ideal counter but if you don't you are gonna lose health.

Medusa has advantage over #robot.. Scream with her armor break (more armor break if bleed immune) might be good too.

It depends on if his damage cap also works on burst damage as well, if it does, then Scream may not be the best option

Looks awesome to me. I’m sure I’ll hate him on defense but he looks fun to play . Wish the burst wasn’t exclusive to sig but otherwise looking forward to adding him to the roster

He might be able to. Special attack damage will be reduced but how about the red bursts (coldsnap, direct damage)?

Yes that special lock feels powerful, like there are way too many champions with annoying sp1s (Nick, Bishop, Sinister, Mysterio, etc) and sp2s (Mangog, Guardian, etc).
