Updated Sigil 2.0 - Not Here Still

Hello,

On the last Friday Livestream, it was stated we would see the improvements the the Weekly Bundle on the next update as well as 6-star Featured and other shard trade-ins.

They aren't there. So now that will require the eventual Early Adopter "package" to include more I'd assume?

With the problems with the Update, I doubt anyoje will answer us today about this, but would be nice to know since we are, you know, paying for this.

“Takes time” …. But there’s time for unpopular UI changes, power boost nerfs, you name it.

Frankly getting sick and tired of how they allocate time since it’s always an excuse.
Sigil discontent was shown on the 27th, they had to discuss and they agreed the community was right on some issues. Do you think the Feb update was done over the weekend?
If you are getting sick and tired quit, no one is forcing you to play...

Got the white knight act going today? Noted.
White knight? For pointing out misinformation?
When did they say the changes to the sigil were rolling out today?
I am as upset as you are about the bugs; but I am not gonna make up things to be upset about.

Maybe I misunderstood, but from what was said about "taking time" was specifically about bringing the shard trade-ins (which I forgot until you pointed it out, so cheers for that!) And not the added Weekly Bundle.

They specifically said that would be this week and that's why early adopters would receive a package for missing out on it week one.

I swear that was what was said but I'm unable to review at this point in time. If anyone has been able to rewatch or clip where I'm wrong I'd greatly appreciate it.

They didn’t say it was going to be this week, they said “it’s not launching right away, but you can expect it some time very soon, not going to give an exact date because we still have to build it out”

If you're concerned about the fact that they allocate time to making changes you don't approve of before checking with you to see if you have a higher priority for them, I don't see what sort of threshold you're holding out for, because that's unlikely to change on astronomical time scales.

Yes, clearly it’s just me who has disliked the changes of late. I should have checked around the rest of the forum first and I would have seen all the glowing reviews of the changes just mentioned here. My bad.

The feedback on the sigil package was heard last week after it launched, and a change was soon decided upon. It will take a bit of time to build out and implement the change. We're targeting before the end of the month.

The other things you mentioned (UI changes, Boost adjustments) were not changed overnight, and aren't handled by the same people on the team.

Meanwhile on a lot of things in the game need to get updated, to many places have outdated content

but who knows how long that will take.

Seems like the only thing yall waiting for is another spending event to help spenders get through end game content for people to spend and get rewards for epoch.

But where does all the money go? Not quality of life or helping out areas of the game that need to be brought up to current rewards.

I have feeling there will be progression title before July 4th aswel, if not atleast by cyber deals.

I don't recall saying it was just you. That advice would theoretically apply to anyone with the same issue regarding the studio's time management processes.

The problem is not whether you or anyone else likes game changes. It is a fact that game changes are going to continue to happen, they won't all be what you want, and bugs are still going to happen because they are unexpected events. So yes, they will continue to "find time" to do things you don't like even while they "find time" to release updates with bugs. Because no one at the studio is in charge of allocating time to creating bugs. So if you are "getting" sick and tired of that sort of thing, where ever it is getting you to, you might as well jump to it now.

And no, once again, this is not you. We can hope for a better game, we can also hope for less bugs, but if you're complaining about Kabam allocating more time to bugs than features you like, you're holding out for something that is impossible, because it is nonsensical, and therefore that's a hopeless endeavor.

You kind of mixed and matched my comments above to make a point (my “sick and tired”’comment was about the lack of a few items in the sigil being added back while power back boosts and UI changes came into play…. The bugs comment and time spent on the update was directly addressing a sarcastic comment that was met with similar one).

But I digress… yes, I would like a better game experience and hope it gets back to where it was for a bit last year. I come here because I want that. I was one involved in the sigil threads opining for change. And I was also opinionated on the bullseye fight that was finally compensated for with basically what I thought was fair. If you read my stuff at all, I’m not a “we deserve a titan nexus comp” guy.

But I do kind of get to the point here where I think some of these basics things are in fact “basic” and I get annoyed dealing with it occasionally. I am starting to get Kabam isn’t interacting much on these forums - especially timely - at least like they used to… so I probably should just do the same.

Chuck, just from reading some of your recent posts here and there, you definitely know what you're talking about, and the critiques are not unfair as far as I can tell. But I also get a sense that you're kind of done with the game, and are engaging with it out of habit and maybe just prior investment (whether time or money or both)?

I am on every day. Still sigil and unit card guy. Just did my monthly coast in GC on objectives. Grind out personal goals on arena every round. But I am not an Everest player - stomach it about once or twice a year. If you aren’t into Everest and where the rest of the rewards are, there’s not much to do

Jesus Christ. As much as I would like to have the update and “compensation package”, they’ve already acknowledged that they’re going to do it.

God some people are so impatient.

Fair enough . I didn't know It about the "compensation". I would actually call It "integration"

I’m just wondering where the Sigil events are? Isn’t that how we’re supposed to earn Sigil credits?

That's the unfortunate reality for almost all games as a service games. There isn't an ending like most single player games have, so you can't just play to the end. Most of the progressional content is done (the definition of being an end game player) so that's mostly depleted. And most end game content is either going to be far less (proportionately) rewarding or infrequent because there's nowhere to go, so there's nowhere for the rewards for that content to progress upward towards. Most players in the end game of most games like this, like MMOs for example, either have to start alts, grind resources and like it (or not go crazy doing it), do the top tier end game content that comes out as it comes out, or come up with some other way to entertain themselves until the next progression tier arrives. It is the price we pay for being faster than everyone else.

In City of Heroes I used to make dozens of alts with random builds, in Star Trek Online I would construct single starships capable of soloing Borg incursion events, and in SWTOR, actually I quit that game when I got tired of walking everywhere. So there isn't always a viable strategy for sustained gameplay.
