Are relics done?

I feel like relics where just an old gimmick now. Have seem any new releases or even talk about relic anymore. I have been saving forever now waiting to see if there will be any new ones because its all just dupes now and I'm tires have switching them all the time. we need more. Is this it, is what we got what we have to work with now? They don't even fit most of the champs it feels like.

    They recently said they are looking to possibly make new types of relics that use new materials. Possibly.

    What I like most about the 6* relics is how you can increase their awakened ability but the game offers no source for 6* sig stones anywhere in the game.

    Ugh, Typical Kabam... They create this whole system nobody asked for and then say its to powerful and stop after releasing a few champs. Then nerf the whole thing. I honesty barley notice a thing other than the extra attacks and minor buff if you can get it on the right champ that only a very few match up with lol. The values are so small it barely does anything, even with 6* relics. If they where so good why done they make people grind for them. sounds lame

    You don't even know why they paused making new relics in the first place. They said they paused them in order to make the deathless champs. They couldn't do both at the same time. Maybe do your research before making yourself look like a fool.

    They say current relics are too overpowered. They hinted on releasing relics2.0 this year.

    I dont think that was 100% true i dont think they said are op some were powerful and some needed to be rebalanced but by that time they decided to rethink them as a whole hence 2024 was deathless stuff and later this year new relics being added again but in a different way

    Yeah, I don't even know wheat their purpose is and can't even find the right champs to grain the buffs.

I can say this with confidence there are many relic interactions which they do not intended and then some went out of control. They had to pause and focus on the saga chases. Reason why we are getting relics with different mechanisms. Relics 2.0

    Whales have been whaling on r3 gems and sigs for now. General peasants recieved 1 r3.

    Can you give an example of an unintended relic interaction that went out of control? I'm really interested in this topic and it's rarely discussed. All we get is the "combo extenders" type of comments.
    I have a 6R3 Sentinel relic on my 7R3 Sentinel and it cooks, but that was obviously intended. The unintentional ones are what's fun to get. I think someone mentioned Sentry with Ant-man relic and Mister Fantastic synergy and the result was pretty nutty.

    They still underperformed and what u said doesnt describe why they were op at most just powerful some was since balancing like sw relic was underpowered gambit and bw relic being bugged and wasnt good compared to say mister sin thor which are strong but not op at all

    They still underperformed and what u said doesnt describe why they were op at most just powerful some was since balancing like sw relic was underpowered gambit and bw relic being bugged and wasnt good compared to say mister sin thor which are strong but not op at all
    They don't care if a relic is underperforming. They didn't sell relics like they sell champs.
    They were not meant to be op in the first place. When one gets busted in a random interaction they couldn't test is when the problem of balance arises.
    They literally said they don't want to release unbalanced relics. I don't think it can get much clearer than that.

    4* relic and 6* relic do absolutely same thing,
    To combo extend.

    Not exactly true. Higher star relics build up whatever their energy to use them is called faster. So I'm going to be able to use my 6* relic more times in a fight then my 4* relic and that's not even taking into account the increased values of stats the bigger stars have

    I think KABAM expected us to open relic packs like we do with crystals using units.

    And when that didn't happen they've been scrambling to find some return but it just hasn't worked.

    KABAM doesn't want to spend resources without getting something in return....... Imagine that, just like the players. :p

    Exactly and it didn't turn out that way because the relics did do enough to make people care. And then they think they are too OP lol. If they actually where people would open them like crazy.

    At this point, relics are exactly that, relics from a time in the past when Kabam thought it was a good idea.
    If they really want to revitalize them, they should utilize the WWE tag team concept.
    Let's say you're using Hulk against Doom or Tigra and they are about to throw an unblockable special. Sure, you can dex, but why not just activate your Gwen Spider relic, where she jumps in and continues the fight with her evade, until she tags back out to let Hulk smash.

    At this point, relics are exactly that, relics from a time in the past when Kabam thought it was a good idea.
    If they really want to revitalize them, they should utilize the WWE tag team concept.

    Sounds more like what Tekken Tag was.
