Rank up gems in incursion

This time around there was a 1-2 generic gem in the saga incursions. Will this be the same way in the future saga incursions or is this an exception?

    I lent my crystal ball out to @willrun4adonut to help with his Incursions carrying and the bugger "lost it"!

    So I guess we'll both just have to wait and see.

    My guess would be no, and it was a decision made to offset the 7* deathless stones being used for only five champs instead of the typical all saga champs. Again, though, this is just a guess and based on no actual information.
