Ares Special Queues Timing

I just finished my initial completion of the Epoch and I’m here to rant a little bit.
First off, I enjoyed the fight. I think the mechanics are fun and I found it pretty easy to memorize the specials and what actions to do. However, the timing at which you have to do those actions is EXTREMELY frustrating. If I parry half a second too soon or too late, I’m dead. I’ve memorized what to do when but it feels like unless I do it at the very specific frame that the game wants, you’re dead.
Has anyone else felt this way? I just dumped 20 revives into the fight because the timing was slightly off every time.
