ARES IS ONE OF THE MOST FUN BOSSES EVER RELEASED

OK I've seen people complaining about Ares but honestly he isn't all that difficult. Yes in the first run you will rage a lot but by the second run you already know what you have to do mostly and after that he becomes a boss to see how far you can go or solo. I would argue the paths to reach him are actually difficult since unless you have the right specific champs for some you won't be having a good time.

Super good. I'm trying to go in and try to get a solo now that I've done the quest. I went from using at least 2 revives on my first to just 1 on the last.

This was from my last path, and my first attempt at him. Honestly I love this fight and enjoyed the boss way more than the paths leading to him. I used an average of say 5 revives on the paths per fight (give or take) and on this run in the picture I only used three revives on Ares.

Just made a post on this, I really like the Ares fight, my big problem with the fight is just the millisecond reaction time that you have to have to determine which combo to use. I think this would have been honestly almost a perfect fight if both the sword and the ax combo simply started with the same motion and then diverged from there. That way, you could just have a split second to let your eyes adjust which I think ultimately would just be far more healthy physiologically.

I just wish they started the sp2 with a dex, because people have muscle memory to dex first, not parry. I just feel like that small thing would have helped me a lot

That would honestly make it worse imo. I enjoy the whole watching Ares turn himself left to know that he is using his sp2 instantly. Having the same action as the first one would make it worse because I'm already into the loop, by having a different first action, I can know which special it is from the beginning. Also, yes I've been hit by his special from automatically dexing, but I wouldn't change it because it challenges my skill and reaction time rather than muscle memory.
That's a fair point, now I'm second guessing myself 😂

I agree. Ares was a lot of fun. Especially after a couple attempts.

The only problem for me is that they should have made it slighlty easier to distinguish between the sp1 and sp2 animation, other than that its a very fair fight which tests your skill

His eyes glow brightly that its sp2 plus if the weapon glows blue than its a sword sp2 if orange than its axe/sp1

They already said that moving forward he is going to be the Everest boss, so you better get used to him

Yes the paths are way more annoying than him once you've fought him 3+ times. But the first and 2nd time..oh boy.

On his last phase you can't even focus on glowing eyes or anything else, it's too fast. The better option would be those icons Spider Punk has on his sp2

If the degeneration wasn't there, it would have been a much better fight

that is such a cheap way for them to force the use of revives

Ngl, I actually barely noticed the degen. Maybe because I was fully boosted with a r2 silk but it wasn't a problem for me.
