Kinda miss Jax and Mikke

Hey yall, been a while since I last posted. Just wanted to express a sentiment I think many share - I miss Jax and Mikke running the community of this game. I feel the current community team is lacking. Minimal response on the forums mainly…

Also the game has felt like it’s lacked direction and the team has been seriously out of touch with the player base. All the new stuff is cool and all but the increased monetization, the story lines and the lack of fun/new content (that isn’t rehashed) has been abysmal and/or tremendously grindy.

I understand overall this is more than just the new community team, but the game has changed since their (Mikke and Jax’s) departure or maybe that’s just the whole correlation/causation argument.

Everyone's got a preference. Keep on chiming in.. As I mentioned in another thread, my team is built differently and executes differently than the other team, however, it's good for us to see what you liked and didn't like as adjustments are made day by day.
Like just this is really cool and even more than what I think most want. This being you showing presence on a Saturday night. I wouldn't mind more puns in my life. AND it's fine just during work hours.
Been meaning to get to this for some time now, so I'm happy to hear you say that. MOAR puns on the way!
I hate to be one of those super critical guys, but I can't even begin to express in my limited vocabulary how disappointed I was that during the Epoch reveal stream we literally got only one Tupac pun, and half-hearted at that.
You know.. in rehearsal.. I have more than enough puns to go around.. and they're genuine and great.. and then I have to like.. DO THEM AGAIN.. and ugh..

As an improvement metric.. I may just skip doing puns in rehearsal..

Let’s appreciate that EA isn’t running this game.

Facts EA got to be the worst they single handily ruined anything competitive in Madden. Both console madden and mobile is p2w. They also don’t add anything new or innovative to the game. It’s the same game modes every year. Just copy and paste I haven’t played madden in like 8 years.

Kabam at least throws in new content every year. Even if it comes with bugs and they don’t update any of the rewards for BGs/AQ/AW. It could definitely be worse.

They did well and I miss what they brought to the community, though they killed the forums with introducing the mcoc discord
I know many of the forum members here won't agree but the Discord was long needed. All the CM's need to do is be more active here too. I don't like that it has split their attention so much.
Can you explain why it was long needed? As someone that doesn’t use it much, it seems half unorganized/global chat like where the messages wash over you and the other half that is organized into threads mimics information or topics here.

I was one of those people who was not all that enthusiastic about the Discord. I thought it would dilute the community, and it did. However, I have come to appreciate that because the Discord encourages different kinds of discussion, this also changes the nature of those discussions. You’d think the Discord would just be a shorter version of the forums, but it is often the case that the Discord community projects a completely different perspective. The Discord community often disagrees or sometimes even mocks the forum community’s (apparent) positions on issues. And this makes it a valuable resource.

I don’t have the same discussions on the Discord that I do here. Not just in form, but also in tenor. There are lots of reasons why I believe that happens, but that’s a separate complex discussion. That it happens says the Discord is a valuable addition to the community, because it engenders voices the forums for whatever reason doesn’t.

Before it was the support team and now even the forum has turned into a bot field. I submitted a complaint recently only to be replyed by bots everytime. And now bots in forum are ruining the communication between players. 10 years and the services are just going down the drain day by day. The game is a mess, the support team is a dud, the live streams are cringy and now the forums are dead as well.

I make jokes from time to time sure, but not often on the forums, and between @KabamPinwheel and @KabamOsaurusRex, they basically live on the forums and communicate clearly about what is happening in the game with the information provided. Like I said earlier, can we improve? Yeah we always can, but to suggest that this team is majority up here making jokes is wildly incorrect.

Lol I didn't name names. I appreciate the attempt to protect one's back tho lol.

Fact is, if communication was good there wouldn't be so many posts about that not being the case.

And while many players (me included) disliked Miike and (toward the end) Jax's manner of communicating, they did respond present in most of the issue related topics.

It's not a case of which of you are living in the forums (and frankly I wouldn't wish that on anyone) but it would help if there was at least 1 official member of the team who appears regularly replying to the issues. Coz there are a boatload of them.

And I don't mean that the team shouldn't have friendly banter with us - this is a game after all, but when so many important threads go ignored compared to how it used to be... 😬

Sometimes miike's quotes were harsh towards any stray ignorant comment, and it showd the general player base that the team is passionate and competent.

Youtubers made clickbait videos calling him a out of touch moron. Youtubers making content out of his comments is their jobs to pull in revenue and they all know who they are.

I don't think the majority of players are against team joking around with community.
But when the team havent been active for some time and have been silent on critical game problem threads, that one random joke on an unimportant thread stings.

As for the Twitch drops it kinda sucks, I tune in for most if not all livestreams and now only one account gets credit. The bonus was never game breaking so why can’t we go back to promo codes for all to claim.

Also unrelated but can we switch the weekly legends crystal to reunion crystals? The legends crystals don’t have much for Valiants.

This is not true at all often we got no info or delayed resolutions of some issues.Previously we had idea of what we are going to get in next 6 months in game. Now that's nowhere to be seen.

Also I stopped watching livestreams as it doesn't reveal anything in detail.It feels like you have been forced.
I really appreciate you all as content creator but sadly I can't say same for community manager.
