Ya know I've played this game since the start, it takes forever to get enough shards to get a 6 star

Feat. Champ. So I was praying to get someone good and who do I get???? It's like they knew the one guy I hated and gave me him like a big F.u. . Man this is the kind of **** that will make me want to quit this game. I mean magneto X , after all that saving and playing cmon guys, I wanna rip my face off .

The RNG in this game is inherently horrible when the game requires specific champs to progress or do anything in game and in a game of 250+ it's not a fun thing to realise most of them do not help you or are completely useless.

Then to top off needing like 10k to open a crystal hurts it that much more, but of course telling someone with genuine criticism of thr game to rip off their face as a response is necessary?

The game gets better when people criticise it, not when people grow complacent.

Unless you the game once a week for a couple of minutes, there are lots of options to get 6 star shards. How often you do you play the game. It's so much easier to get 6 stars shards these days. Glory store, BG store, story content, Incursion store has 6 star champs. I currently have over 1.2 million and have no use for them so I might trade them in for 7 star shards but the exchange rate isn't the best. If you have been playing for 10 years and still complaining about 6 star RNG, it's time to think about quitting since the RNG ain't going nowhere.

Which specific 6* champ do people need to progress?

Most of the champs in the game are reasonably useful, as most will get the job done whether they are optimal or not. Even the people who make champion tier lists acknowledged this long ago: virtually none of them have completely useless tiers in them anymore. The question is less if the champ is useful, and more if you can make use of it, which is more of a skill and knowledge issue than anything else. Sure, I'm unlikely to be exploring 9.2 with Iron Fist, but I'd say over 75% of all the champs in the game can be used to complete some content reasonably well. Players might decide to wait for that one great pull, but no one gets completely road blocked waiting for a one in 250 lucky strike.

Also, the number of shards is itself completely irrelevant. It "only" takes 2000 shards to open a 4* basic crystal, but we typically get those shards 55 at a time from duplicating 3* champs. It takes 10000 shards to open a 5* or 6* crystal, but the shards we get from duplicating 4* and 5* champs is 275. It is the same ratio. 2000/55 = 36.4. 10000/275 = 36.4. It is not like we're earning shards one at a time and it takes five times longer to get a 6* crystal.

Also, even though you claim the OP had "genuine criticism" it is clear you didn't even bother to read his genuine criticism, because if you had you wouldn't be complaining about people telling the OP to "rip off their face" when that's literally what he claimed he felt like doing. To me, if you're going to say that as part of your "genuine criticism" then it is totally fair game for others to say "well fine then go right ahead." If you don't want to hear it, don't say it. There's no rule that says hyperbole belongs to the critics.

And with all due respect, there is no actionable criticism from someone claiming to have been playing since day one and complaining about 6* champion acquisition rates. There's nothing we can do for such players that wouldn't completely wreck the game for the vast majority of everyone else. He's the exact opposite end of the scale from where MSD would be if he complained there wasn't any content in the game that required playing with your eyes open.
