Whiffing when Punishing Specials - A Failure of Communication

So, I'm not even going to touch on the actual bug or the issues it presents. This is a post about Community Outreach.
Today I learned that there is yet another, global bug going on within the game - champions will whiff their attacks (not always but very consistently) when punishing the defenders special attacks. Last night, I was finishing my exploration of 9.1, and I thought I had just forgotten how to play. It happened so often and cost me an absurd amount of resources for the content I was doing.
Not only that, but the Kabam team is aware of this game breaking issue, and yet has no announcement about it. What is the thought process there? How can you justify not notifying your community of such an extreme issue? Had i known, I never would have dove into high end content.
And that's the real issue. Bugs will happen, and they're not fun to deal with but when we know about them, we can work around them, or at least patiently wait for the fix. But when you are aware of such an extreme bug, and don't tell us, all of the frustrations that follow are on you, the game team.
And the biggest thing is, even the few times in the past when you all actually do notify us of an issue, it's never in any meaningful way. Who checks the forums and discord every day? I'm certainly not logging into the kabam site to check the current issues everytime before I play.
When something like this, that makes harder content almost unplayable (I'm being very generous with the "almost"), you need to notify us in game as soon as possible. If there is a bug that can cause this much of an issue, I should be told about it as soon as I open the game. It doesn't need to be an entire dossier, just a general summary of the problem with a link to a larger announcement, or even just :Check out the forums for more details".
Please, for the love of Stan Lee, stop making the same mistakes. Please, just reach out to us with problems when you know about them. It is not a big ask.
