While we have some fond and not so fond memories of competitive and active times with this game, we've found that real life was much more enjoyable when we took a bunch of steps back and went casual. Can always use a few with similar mindset We've had growing core that seem to stick around for a long while and about six spots of people that don't care and don't stay.
War: Strictly optional. If you want to do war, then put the effort in. Think about the champs you're putting on Defense and actually help on offense. For those that do war, were steadily in silver 1 for a bit, went to gold 6 and then stone 1 last time around. Shows how much I pay attention to war. Didn't even know Stone whatever was a ranking.
AQ: primarily maps 3 & 4 with mods. The modifiers keep it interesting and bump up the score. When everyone joins and fights when they're on, we finish early and easily so we can log in less or spend more time doing our own thing. I usually opt for logging in less. Free time is precious.
SA: we hold for every other SA. One week on and one week off. Why? Rewards. We generally put up over a million for decent 6* and 5* shards. We have placed in the top 50 a few times. We were 98th last week and that was with 25 people Just a way to try and maximize rewards for doing little work. Some don't like it. They tend not to stay. After a few rotations many find it easier to manage their resources, look forward to the build up of crystals and rankings, and then it's like Christmas morning every other week. More 5* shards means more dupe iso and 6* shards. More 6* shards means more 6* dupes and 7* shards which means more 7* shards. And those rewards are for everyone. So channel your inner socialist and help everyone including yourself.
As long as the above two things are going well, it's quiet, relaxed and stress free. If you're east coast US like myself, it's perfect. i don't have the game installed on my main phone so I only play in the morning before work and when I'm home at night. Once in a while if I'm home during the daytime I'll use energy autofighting.
