Will Isophyne get rebalanced

I know she is kinda decent against cosmics and champs with a lot of buffs, but will she get rebalanced next month? If so, what do you want changed in her kit? For me:

She should be able to place Placebo buffs or these blank buffs that don't do anything, but feed her nullify, allow her to take non-high buff matchups as well like Kushala
She should have some way to deal with nullify immune champs. With 7* Galan coming as a defender, he's immune to nullify so Isophyne won't be able to counter him, unfortunately
Nullify chance on basics should be increased to 40-50%, because 30% is a bit RNG reliant

Thoughts? Any other necessary changes to make her good?

She would greatly benefit from tweaking some values, as you suggested. I think there’s zero chance they touch her, unfortunately.

With this new updating cadence, it seems to me that there are limited spots for balance updates. I think champs that are really need balanced will get it and once that need tweaked probably won’t. I don’t think she’ll get updated.

She just needs a higher chance to Nullify and she'll be fine. She doesn't need placebo buffs because she already has a way to gain power in non buff matches and of that triggers more often then her power won't be an issue. I would also argue she can still be a good galan counter since you can fire specials off pretty quickly even in non nullify matches so his charges will be kept lower for sure. Galan isn't that bad of a defender once you know how to play him

This is what i think i personally dont think her nullify should be 70% vs pierce it should be always nullify then her normal nullify id say what be fine is 60-65% chance

That one good matchup is actually a cheese matchup for her, and also happens to be the most annoying defender who everyone has in their BG deck (or War map). So who really cares how she fares against champs who don't have buffs or can't be nullified?

I don't know about Spiral, it seems like she's as good or even better as a Serpent counter than Isophyne, but I have Shathra and would always take Isophyne over Shathra for Serpent. Not that Shathra's bad, but you have to play more carefully than with Isophyne.

I just took her in for a path in Act 9.2 where defender armor buffs increase their combat power rating. Theoretically, Isophyne should be dominating since all the matchups are buff heavy.

But, she just didn’t feel that great. Unreliable basic attack nullify means that I’d have to bait a lot more specials if I didn’t have an SP1 banked. While she did okay, I never felt like I was dominating.

In comparison, I barely had to alter my playstyle with America chavez or Kushala and was just dominating.

Yes its not fair to Isophyne to compare her to the top mystics, but thought it instructive that she doesn’t feel that amazing even in buff heavy matchups.

A little bit of a crit chance with her egos would go a long way. I really enjoy her and have her at r3 on both my alt and main. She isn't an amazing BGs champion, but she is a very nice story and questing champion. Her wither alone is helpful against a ton of enemies, and nodes are typically placing buffs of some sort on enemies anyways. I find her fun, but also understand that some people will never like a champion unless everything they do is the best of the best and someone else can't do it better.

And for each vulnerability she should gain extra critical rating
And her sp2 fury should last for around 10 seconds and paused during opponent special attacks so her basic attacks can also deal some damage as currently it only stays for sp2
And for sp3 her degen should also deal some better damage else change it to something different which coordinate with energy vulnerability like shock plasma or incinterate
And I think change her sig regen from missing health to max health if that's possible or else give her genesis passive which deathless Thanos has on sp1 so she can regen whole hitting the opponent
These little changes will make her suitable for every game mode

Feels like calling these little changes is a stretch.

Beside the oft-mentioned issue with inconsistent crits, I feel like the only major change I’m interested in is not necessarily increased nullify chance as much as just boosting the power gain when triggering nullify against non-buffed opponents. I run 4/5 MD and the discrepancy between Isophyne’s performance in buff-heavy matchups and matchups with no buffs often comes down to the drastically reduced power gain. With 4/5 MD, a successful nullify nets them 8% max power or 24% of a bar, whereas if there’s no buffs they only get 10% of a bar, less than half. Obviously, if you run 5/5 MD the discrepancy is even larger. I feel like boosting that power gain per rank invested in MD might help them out with feeling so heavily dependent on buffs, because even in matchups with some buffs like Serpent I feel like there’s often not enough for Isophyne to go really wild before they’re stuck relying on the weaker no-buffs power gain.

I feel like she's now going to forgotten realm.

Shahthra, Spiral, Kushala already beat serpent way better than Mid-O-phyne.

Other than Serpent, every other top mystic have better stats and playstyle, so yeah, I'm so glad I waited till balance announcement before giving her any amount of iso and gold.

Kinda expected when Kabam gives away new heroes for free. 💯

I never use her except for the old coldsnap / bleed hazard shift AW node when a cosmic was placed there. Otherwise, she’s just gathering dust.
