Please fix battlegrounds matchmaking

Hi kabam there is a huge problem with battlegrounds matchmaking, I don't understand why I keep getting paired up against 7-11mill base rating players. Out of my last 16 battlegrounds matches the lowest base rating player i have face was 6.8mill, I don't understand why I have to fight against players with a whole roster full of 30 r3 7*. I just recently became 3mill base rating, my fighting skills are pretty good & I do win some matches but its still super hard to keep having to fight 7-13mill base rating literally every time when im only at 3mill. I honestly don't even want to play battlegrounds which is sad bc I did really enjoy it. Please fix the matchmaking and make it more fair for everyone. It should be 1-3mill, 4-7 million & 7-10plus to face each other in matches. Thats how the matchmaking should be or something like that. That would make everyone enjoy playing and keep the level of competition fair while still being challenging. Please just fix the matchmaking in battlegrounds kabam

So you basically want tiered match-ups where you're at the top of your tier?

It's also been outlined several times why that won't work.

It's also been outlined several times why that won't work.

I could work, just not in the way Kabam's currently designed BGs. Other things would need to change alongside this, as well as their current vision for BGs

Please, tell me how this is a fair match up. Literally every time I looks for a match, this is what i get, even if i try, it's a rigged fight. Put yourself in my shoes, would you play this game if this is what you get every time?

I agree that the gladiator circuit matching sucks. I think what they've done is just ignore hero rating as matching criteria. Which I don't think is actually what's wrong about their matching. I think what's sucks is that everything resets each month thus pairing the larger and more skilled accounts against smaller and less skilled accounts. Especially early in the season.

What I'd like to see is matching based on ability but to do this they'd have to stop resetting the scores each month. The more you win the more difficult accounts you pair against the more you lose the easy accounts you pair against. Until you reach a tier where you're winning/lose ratio is essentially 50/50.

They'd have to rework the rewards structure some but I think this would greatly increase the popularity of the mode.

Battleground is no fun at all.. I am Valiant.. but on the lower end of the spectrum.. some Paragon players can beat my champions since I don't really have any champion at sig200 or have rank4 champions at high sig levels.. so me being matched vs players with multiple 7* @ rank4 sig200 or numerous rank3 sig200 champions is making it a frustrating experience.. aside from skill issues, the AI makes it even more of a challenge.. its frustrating to get beat so easily.. that now I see multiple rank3 7* or rank4 7* champions.. I immediately forfeit the match.. why waste my time on a loss..

Also noticed I get numerous death matches in arena.. quite annoying 😑 🙄 😒.. way to go kabam.. (note my sarcasm).

They'd have to do more than "just rework the rewards some" they'd have to rework them a ton.

In theory, resets are problematic. But they were not just added randomly. A lot of rewards were put into VT to encourage participation, and if GC players were not reset back into VT they would never get those rewards. That's problematic. Just give them the rewards automatically? No can do: I could push an account into GC and then get those rewards permanently for little to no effort, because I would always be in GC forever. The whole "do five matches and get those rewards" only works because if you don't actually try, you'll eventually decay down to zero and those rewards would also drop to nothing.

We could in theory create a complex objective system that would allow GC players to stay in GC forever but earn VT rewards through activity, but now you've left the realm of "rework the rewards structure some" and entering "completely redo how rewards are earned" territory.

I'm not saying it is a bad idea or that it wouldn't work. Just that it is not simple, and however they do it almost certainly a lot of players who are earning those rewards just fine now are not going to like it. You'd have to make the calculated decision to straight up ignore them in pursuit of something you think would be globally better.

I see people saying, "You want to fight people in your tier when you're at the top of it" which is literally the same thing that is happening. This player is at the bottom of that tier and getting matched with people that have all 7*R3s Sig 200. It's super unfair.
