Live Stream Secret Codes Clarification

Dave mentioned on the livestream that secret codes would be live at the summoner's market at 12PM today.

He didn't mention what time zone. Does anybody know?

these things are a bad idea because they cause nothing but agro. People get jealous of not being able to get them, people get angry they don't work, people think they're poor rewards. Just stop doing them.

Twitch drops troubles, secret codes difficult to get if you are not fluent in english… I definitely give up the livestreams.

Promocodes as they were are not returning for the foreseeable future. Twitch Drops have replaced them and we're going to play our streams for the rest of the day to give people a chance to earn and claim them who are in different timezones/difficult schedules as seen here: https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/394279/may-2nd-livestream-twitch-drops-and-secret-code-information#latest . If you and a majority of people really feel that strongly about having an extra chance to get cool things on top of the 5x Titan Crystals and 5x Champion Choice. I'll consider removing the Secret Codes.

So to be clear.. We'll go from

5x Titan Crystals, 5x Champion Choice AND 5x 7 Star Crystals
to
5x Titan Crystals and 5x Champion Choice

The other option is you don't have to try to claim the Secret Codes and it will feel the same as option 2.
If the twitch drops actually worked....

Except fewer people have the opportunity to claim these codes now than were doing so before.

You took a system that, while not perfect, worked for the whole and changed it for absolutely no reason. At least not a player / viewer friendly reason.

You don't seem to understand or care that most people don't have the luxury of watching a livestream during the middle of a working day and if they do, they're likely listening to it in the background rather than paying attention to the 17th forced pun and "witty" wordplay you've decided to amuse yourself with.

If as a community manager, you hear: "This isn't enjoyable. It's inconvenient and we prefer how it was previously because we actually had opportunities to receive rewards and could benefit from sharing codes, watching replays of streams and we didn't suffer from not being able to pay attention and instead just had the stream playing in the background while we work" from the community and your official response is: "Too bad. My way or no way, if you don't like it I'll just pack up my toys and go home."

Well, then put me down for you taking your toys and going home.

Okay, my previous post was super snarky and I apologize for the abundance of attitude. I wish I could edit but I can't.

I am not a fan of the secret codes and they make me feel punished for the fact that I don't have the luxury to watch the stream live.

I work during the week, don't often get the ability to watch the stream live anymore and when I do it's usually as background while I'm working. Lately I watch the stream as a VOD much later. Obviously, I preferred the old system where we could actually be a community with each other and share the codes for the benefit of those who weren't watching.

I hope you consider changing it back, but if it's this way (Secret codes) or no additional prizes then I actually do vote for no additional prizes as I feel it's the most equitable approach.

To the couple people getting “unable to find code”, are you sure about case sensitive ?

And just tried, actually gives more leeway than prior months.
FirstLetterOfAllWordsInCap or noletterscapitalizd or ALLCAPS.

But this time it's also allowing very first letter cap and then all rest lower (instead of having to match each word's first letter the same way).

I like secret codes, I think they are a fun time , what I don’t really like as much is when there is secret codes + a bunch of jokes and references to other things, like the ebony maw thing and the eyes, I would’ve bet money that something with that had to be a secret code, long story short it wasn’t

Secret codes are good , adding in jokes and one liners that could sound like a code isn’t .

People who are complaining should just learn that life isn’t fair , after all it’s just a game, have some fun being a detective and hoping your one of the winners, after all it’s just a 7* , which most of us have nearly all the ones in the basic so it’s just sigs…
