He did not count the crystals from a solo objective milestones event (Moonshot Event) and the lower progression level milestone event (Sunstorm Event), if it will be available for higher progression tiers alongside the main event.

A cursory glance and this event looks grossly expensive compared to Omega. Might have the same style as Omega but I think you need to drop 11,000 units to get 1 random 7-star. If that’s the case this event is a hard pass for me. No champ in this event is a game changer must have. None.

No, they didn’t. There were 28 points available from the uncollected track (alpha track, sunburst is the name of it this year) which reduces the cost by 4200 units. Should be the same this year.

As others have noted, the graphic is only for the main event. There is both a participation event with some free crystals, and an Uncollected+ event with more champions/materials. The cost for the milestones is exactly the same as last year for milestones with the same points.

Can you confirm that these champs will not return for a very long time? The pool from last years event have not returned yet, so id assume the same. But DLL in a youtube video seems to state otherwise which contradicts what Karate Mike said in another thread about them being exclusive to HoF.

Given the steep cost of the event, and that you get substantially less sigs, crystals, AG, rank 4 materials etc than July 4 or Cyber would give , the primary appeal 8s exclusivity , so if these champs were to return in say banquet this year, it would nullify the incentive of investing the units now

I dont see why he would answer this because as you said, if they are coming back sometime relatively soon it would kill the incentive to spend now

The five champions in the Heart of Fire crystal will be handled the same way as the Omega Days champions.

Dark Phoenix was a trophy created for this event and there are no plans to source her anywhere else. I'm not saying it will NEVER happen, but right now I personally am assuming this is the only place to get her.

I think you haven't add free crystals yet, last year there were 34 free crystals

The 34 crystals were Cav crystals which gave points in the UC+ event but not the Paragon+ event. Only points are given for paragon and valiant crystals.

How the hell am I supposed to hoard 40k units? This was unexpected that kabam to put Dark phoenix behind a paywall. Do I need to start hoarding units and only save it for banquet when there is different type of offers that gives rank up Materials that is needed? I’m confused and don’t know what to do anymore.

Well, I think that's the intent. Kabam chose not to reveal that Dark Phoenix was the milestone champ until very close to the event, and they did it for a simple reason: to drive impulse spending.
Why would they have told us in advance? That would've allowed preparation and resource management. No, keep it a surprise, because that way they remove the window for rational planning so players are more likely to act on emotion and FOMO.
This is literally what you're feeling and yes, it was intentional.

Remember when we had to play hard content to earn champs, and than use those champs to do a quest to earn a top of the line, meta champ? Ah, yes....the good old times....

Lol what? Which mcoc are you talking about? Playing hard content for champs is a very new phenomena. The only way to get champs in "good ol' mcoc" was through crystals and arena.
