I really dislike that you have to fight all 16 fights per map with one health bar. Extremely infuriating having to eat random heavies trying to bait specials from inconsistent ai and then I have to use consumables. Seems like a revive/potion drain. If every 3rd or 5th node healed you to full that would be perfect imo, almost like mini checkpoints. 👍🏽

It would be great if you don’t lock I. The ch Alison so more casual players can take their time with the much much much on get content that the new Valiant EQ requires without is getting blocked from playing a big chunk of the rest of the game

I'm sure no-one "likes" using potions etc, so the endurance aspect may give us a reason to explore some different kinds of rank ups - champs with regen can really show their value in this kind of content.

I enjoyed this content, better than 100% exploration of thronebreaker difficulty

I'm extremely disappointed with this quest. This is a MASSIVE jump in difficulty from the Thronebreaker EQ or the Paragon Gauntlet, mainly because of the restrictions and health pool rule. There is absolutely no reason to ban 83% of our champs from being used on a path that has 15 enemies with far higher health pools than many Act 8 enemies. There is no way I can do this quest without dumping revives and potions into it. But the rewards are simply not worth that kind of resource drain.

I can get a full 7-star from doing 6 paths in Act 9.2, same as you get here, before I even count the sizable completion rewards. On those paths, I can use my choice of my entire deck, and only have to defeat half as many enemies as on one of these new Valiant EQ paths. Not only that, but I get to start with an automatic full health pool on almost every fight (5 out of 7).

I've been Valiant for almost two years, and I don't have a deck that's even CLOSE to being able to complete one of these paths. I gave the first one a try, and was dead 5 fights in. It would take probably 3-4 weeks worth of free potions and revives to get through all 6 paths. And that would leave me drained of resources to use on Endgame content, which I'm already very behind on due to the big dumps of this content in recent months (9.2, Epoch, Ordeal).

Simply put, there was NO reason to put more restrictions on this content than was put on the otherwise similar Crucible. This quest would be difficult but doable if we had no champ restrictions, and a full health pool reset on every fight. Even just ONE of those two things would help a lot. But, with both of those restrictions in place, this quest is a job only for unitman or for whales who've already created the kind of giant decks that destroy the rest of us in Battlegrounds Gladiator's Circuit and prevent us from reaching 100 points. Bottom line, the rewards given here are simply not worth it when there's so much Endgame content available that give better rewards for your unit spend.

The inclusion of Phoenix Dark Plumes in here is also a big disappoinment. I was able to collect every Dark Plume so far. But now it looks like I'll need to do 4 paths of these quests just to get enough Dark Plumes to get one entry to the Phoenix quest. But these quests are MUCH harder than anything it took to get Plumes so far. So I wasted effort on quests and Mysterium to get Plumes that I probably won't be able to use now, because I can't complete these quests. I'll have to cash them in for whatever the consolation prize is, because I won't be able to reach 75 to enter the Phoenix quest. Making a surprise new quest that's much harder than the previous Dark Plume content pop up at the very end of the whole process is unfair.

The only praise I have for this month's EQ changes is that Paragon Gauntlet now does NOT require you to fully explore Thronebreaker level anymore. I would be fine if it simply required completion of Thronebreaker. But it's great to not have to fully explore it, because the Thronebreaker rewards are very meager for the time spent. And that energy can be put to better use now that Act 9.2 is available. Paragon Gauntlet still has wonderful rewards that are correctly tuned for the difficulty level of the quest. Think of it, you get 3,000 7-star shards there, where you only get 5 times that many for doing the entire Valiant EQ. That just underlines how meager the Valiant EQ rewards are for the tremendous difficulty it presents.

    I completely disagree

Just before your comment I also commented my disappointment with this quest.

This eq felt more like Paragon. It was not difficult imo at all for a content targeted for Valiants. But rather sluggish, boring content copy pasted from TB eq.

Rewards are amazing for the amount of hardwork one have to put.
if you are valiant from 2 years, then there is something off. Cuz if my memory serves right Valiant was introduced either in Oct 2023 or Nov 2023.

This eq don't feel like Valiant at all. I will say it again, it is more like Paragon and that too boring and sluggish

Finished it today, was actually fun and challenging, can’t wait for next months. Does this mean next one will have a new saga chase item?

I thought it was great. Nice job Kabam. Please keep it going after the two month test.

Only constructive feedback is the same teleport node feedback above - made it more time consuming/annoying to plan. But aside from that, good stuff!

While I enjoy the new format, the AI seems awful for me on my iphone compared to other quest content. If it was just the usual input misses I probably wouldn't notice, but the over dexing and parrying at what seems to be hyper-speed is once again too much for me.

Only thing I would ask is to add the EQ dialogue to it

I'm loving that doesn't have it. I don't care about the lore in mcoc. I only want to punch people 🤣

Comments seem to have dropped off so maybe this gets lost. But just in case - here's my 2c.

Rewards are good (not game breaking but worthwhile). Play is pretty fun at it's core - but quickly becomes a terrible slog.

15 fights is too many it takes wayyyy too long for it to be fun. Also, I don't mind sacrificing a revive here and there or some heals (it is Valiant after all) but I would like some kind of health refresh built in incursions or in the AW challenges. The intentional unavoidable/chip damage is no fun across 15 fights.

You could split it into 2 lanes of 7-8 fights if you like. That would be fine. 15 is just too many. I do like the expanded roster use - which I still think is accomplished with the split.

It's an EQ after all that's supposed to push progression...not end game content.

Overall the design of the quest is good and I like the fact it tests your roster depth. I personally had fun playing it. As others mentioned, cosmic path needs to get rid of the relics unless new relics are released. Other than that, no complains as the rewards itself make it worth doing.
However, I would like to give two suggestions to make it more engaging and interactive.
    • Get rid of the old EQ nodes and make them limited to TB only. If you have to take 15 different champs for 15 different fights then all those 15 champs have to benefit from the node or else some of the fights become a slog. For example, not all mystic champs nullify. Not all tech champs apply armor breaks. The new nodes will be refreshing and more fun.
    • Before the Boss fight, the champ you pick should be automatically healed to full just like crucible. The path fights without any heal make sense because it's valiant EQ difficulty it should be challenging but from design perspective it makes sense to heal before the boss.

That's all, I'm looking forward to next month's EQ and I really hope it stays with some changes based on player's suggestions in this thread.
