And of course the comments can’t even be benign, it’s “get on board or get out” here at the forums within the first 5 minutes. Gonna be another fun month. 🙄

Kabam has always supported pride, they have a lot of staff that are also a part of the community

“Get on board or get out” is more like have basic human decency for the LGBTQ community
The comments in the thread are unprovoked already telling people to quit the game if you don’t have the same views. And it’s just June 1st.

I have seen multiple holiday greetings from multiple religions expressed on these forums without in game events. I don’t recall any of them telling other people to quit the game if you didn’t celebrate.
Well As far as I believe no one is mad in the forums either for kabam celebrating Christmas or LNY. So far many people threatened to quit and abused kabam only for celebrating pride.

You don't have to have same views, you just don't have to be mad about kabam celebrating pride. That's the only thing expected here.
Kabam in my few years here has never explicitly celebrated Christmas, or Thanksgiving. or Hanukkah etc… the banquet event sort of lines up with the time of year but it’s always been generically named “holiday” event. Not so with this one… it their company, have at it. I am just saying there hasn’t been even the hint of fur flying or haymakers thrown and we already have people saying celebrate or get out of the community. Why the angst? Have your celebratory threads like other people have theirs…. Why go negative with such declarations of “quit the game”? Seems like baiting to me.
My post is literally the only one that you could be talking about, and it said "bigots should find another game."
I don't know why you equate that statement with "celebrate or get out," but that's certainly not what I meant or what a reasonable interpretation of bigot would suggest.
But in today's climate terms have all sorts of loaded meaning, so to the extent you took my comment to mean what you think it means, it does not.
I don't think anyone cares if you don't care.

Would be happier if actually did something for Venompool,Not serious but some comedy stuff beaucase when Iron Man got rework Venompool was flirting with Gladiator in the side quest, and there was double meaning jokes

What does this have to do with pride?
Not exacly pride month itself but Kabam giving atention to characters like Korg and ignoring part of ther original characters (Venompool is a original variation but still)

is more a creative decision problem from Kabam and not the whole thing itself,i just barely see some of those originals getting no atention and even when they could put them in some event they simply don't, Overseer till today only appeared in 2 events

    Happy Pride Month to all!
Any bigots should find another game to play, because MCOC's support for the community couldn't be any clearer.

    🙄
It’s better to just block the trolls. Virtue signaling is such a pathetic trait.

You don't have to celebrate, you just have to not be a jerk
Can only one side be a jerk? Or is it possible for both sides to get into that behavior? Cause telling people to quit the game for having a different view out of the blue seems to fall into the “jerk” category as well.
I mean most people saying this aren't just saying it because people are saying they don't want to celebrate pride, it's because people are complaining about the game being woke and inserting politics into the game or even grooming children which some extreme people are saying. If you can't handle proud being celebrated without complaining about it then yeah, it's probably a bit weird to be playing a game based on a comic company that has always been incredibly forward thinking with lgbtqia+ issues

Why do people get so triggered by others expressing their love and rights its amazing.
Compare it to religious festivities or LNY lol

OP had the right intention. Some people in between did exactly what was expected. Taunt the haters for no reason inviting them to hate...

It's always jerks telling others not to be jerks.
Those who don't respect others' views or accept them for who they are telling others about acceptance.

As though being called a "bigot" has ever heard anybody. Just say that's how you get down and that you hate anybody else who gets down the opposite way and leave it at that instead of hiding behind "your support for pride people".

Oh lord! Am I going to hell? Goddammit!

Anyway, I didn't click on this thread for negative comments. I did so because I thought OP was mistaken. I thought the so-called pride month was a February-thing only to be met with rude lgbt-pro comments targeting those with different views. My "bigotry" comes from your rudeness and don't ever think I care if some fool dislikes me for knowing the correct usage of pronouns or whatever else. I'm good.

By the way, what good will a "pride" profile pic do someone who doesn't celebrate this right here, emilia?

I remember claiming one of those by mistake from last year's event and I believe that darn thing is still there. Now if deleting them was an option but it ain't, emilia.

    So uhm... yeah... emilia.

Who forced you to celebrate? You can ignore the whole event and just claim the rewards. If you don’t like someone saying happy pride month, don’t come into a thread about pride month? Seems pretty simple to just ignore it and not lose out on anything
I think what he's trying to say is there's always a lot of passive aggressive remarks on these threads from the other side too which to a certain extent I do agree with. He's not saying anyone is forcing him to celebrate or that he has an issue with pride itself, it's more about the passive aggressive comments saying celebrate it or get out.
Ah I get you. I don’t expect anyone to celebrate it, it’s more so that I don’t understand what he means by a “different view.” If that view is that they don’t want to celebrate, sure fine that’s their choice

If there’s anyone here is a bigot, they should definitely get out. If they just don’t want to engage, fair enough
I completely missed that part, if he meant something else by different view then nvm I thought he was talking about the passive aggressive remarks people send for no reason before there even is an argument. This thread started as completely wholesome and then some people are already being passive aggressive on both sides for absolutely no reason. Just wish we could have one of these with no ragebait whatsoever some of these comments are basically inviting the bigots and the trolls to start with the toxicity as per usual.
That’s true, some comments were worded strongly. I think it’s a pretty clear distinction for this, if you wanna sit it out, no problem. If you’re gonna come in here and be a nuisance, that’s an issue

I think there’s even a valid conversation regarding how pride month is extremely tokenized, I just think Kabam actually follows through + we get a nice event out of it. Some free goodies just for the month is awesome regardless of your beliefs

    1. I didn’t even bring up pronouns? And every person on this planet has pronouns lmao
    2. Don’t put the pride pfp on. Keep it off lmao. You can use whatever pfp you want
    1. Ain't the pronoun thing one of the things that would make one a "bigot" if you used "an incorrect" one to address someone of your(?) community? That was just an example out of a possible 100.

    2. It would be easier to not see it at all whenever I go through my profile pics because it does not represent me or anyone I care about.

Exactly for example me personally I don't celebrate it, but I don't demonize it either because the reason I don't celebrate isn't because I hate the community, I simply don't celebrate it because I'm not apart of it therefore I can't have an issue with it, it's none of my business.

Then you have guys like the one above you who apparently isn't even smart enough to quote your comment when replying. Dude's still mad about the pfp last year and straight up being rude, those comments are wrong and unfortunately they come from both sides.

I do think that even though Totems first message was strongly worded, they did explicitly call out bigots. I don’t think there’s a place for actual bigots of any kind in any community. I didn’t see anyone specifically saying celebrate or get out (which I hugely disagree with anyway and basically echo your sentiment on the matter).
