I never get my 2 or 3 star signature stones in quests

I keep noticing that I am obtaining signature stones in quests but after the quest is done I never get any in my inventory. I only have 4 and 5 star for some reason. Why is this? Anyone else noticing this?

    I'm also confused as to why you get them at the end of the quest it shows them then they explode and you get stones. SOmeone clarify how this works. it's bugging me lol.

    I get 2 and 3-star signature stone in questing but at the end of the quest, I never have them in my inventory. At the end it shows them as stuff I acquired does and animation like they explode and I never get them. WHats this mean. Why do they have this animation?
