Goodbye MCOC

I know there are already a lot of threads on this ban topic but I just wanted to get a few thoughts out as I'm processing my decision to step away from the game after many years of playing. So apologies in advance for the rambling.
Yesterday afternoon I played through the last path on the monthly valiant gauntlet quest and the did the paragon gauntlet as well. After that I logged off to go hang out with some friends and got back to to play a bit more when I got home several hours later. I was shocked to see a 7 day ban pop up for violating TOS and using third party software. I have no idea how this would have happened as I have no idea what third party software I supposedly used and I've never had an interest in cheating at this game. (Seems dumb to cheat at a mobile marvel swipe and tap video game lol). Sadly I decided that I won't be returning to the game after the ban is up and I removed mcoc from my phone. This post is not about shaking an angry fist at kabam for making a mistake or trying to get my ban reversed because that would not do any good. I know I didn't do anything wrong and that getting angry in a forum post wouldn't make a difference anyway. I'm sure most people on here would assume I deserved the ban anyway but that's beside the point. I'm not smart enough to download and use any third party software to cheat anyway lol.
I can't remember the exact time when I first downloaded the game but it was around 9 years ago during my freshman year of college. I've been a casual free to play player ever since and have really enjoyed the game through all the ups, downs, bugs, glitches, etc. that we've all seen in that time. It has seen me through a lot of life. My college years including my final semester that was shut down due to the covid pandemic in the spring of 2020. Getting married that summer with only 30 people in attendance due to covid regulations. Multiple moves between Ohio and Missouri from 2020 to 2023. Three of my grandparents passing away in the span of 5 months in 2023. Even this year when my wife and I lost our first daughter to a stillbirth. There's lots to be thankful for in that time as well. Graduating college, finishing my masters degree a year later, getting married to the most amazing wife a guy could have, and being blessed with so many awesome adventures in our 5 years of marriage. I've made lots of amazing new friends and lost others in the last 9 years. It's crazy how different life looks for me now versus when I started playing but I'm thankful for the fun I had being able to step into this game for even a few minutes each day.
I always knew I wouldn't play forever but it's still hard to step away. I've slowly built my account over 9 years from zero to now over 5.5 mill. I've 100% completed all the story quests and have dabbled in a bit of the endgame quests but for the most part I just play through the monthly content and occasionally play a few bg matches. I've never spent any money on the game and there is a certain satisfaction in knowing the account I built was just through consistent work over time. Following along as the game has grown and watching YouTubers like Brian, Seatin, Rich, KT, and Lags has been a blast and has added to my enjoyment and strategy when approaching the game. I know kabam will not miss me because I never spent on the game but it's still a bit emotional stepping away after all this time.
Again, no agenda with this post I am just processing a bit so apologies for bogging down the forums with another thread. I'm sad that my time playing mcoc is ending with a ban mistake like this but as I said I have had a lot of fun in my time with the game.
Sorry for the rambling but I appreciate being able to get some thoughts out like this. Also apologies for any grammatical errors I did not do a thorough edit after typing out this post lol. I hope you all have a great day!
