Switching out champs in Raids is really limited and kind of pointless

When switching champs in Raids I was unable to switch the sub objective with the character. To be more specific I was using Domino for assault with crit crusher. I realize she was going to be useless for Gentle who is bleed immune and crit immune so I wanted to use Onslaught so I didn’t have to sit the fight out. I made the switch but was stuck with crit crusher when I wanted to change over to siphon slider. So now I have a champ that can’t gain force charges. Why even have the option to switch champs?

So in summary: Don’t switch champs in Raids unless it aligns with the specific charge that the champ that is being switched is under (all 10 of them that might also not work at all against a Raid boss) otherwise you won’t get force charges and you’ll be useless for all the other fights.

Kabam really doesn’t test anything out

The option was added so players could swap out a champ that didn't work as effectively with their role boost as they had hoped.
One of the big complaints was/is players bringing champs that fit a role boost, but end up not being effective, so Kabam added this so players can swap for a champ that can better utilize the boost. This is all temporary as we await the raid test map (which is still a mystery as to when it will be here).
It isn't meant to be used to swap in better counters for a fight.

Well if that's the motive than the better soln is to be able to select the. Correct role boost the second time, right, instead of picking another champ suitable for role, what if player don't have anyone who benefits from role?

But every champ benefits atleast from one of their category role boosts? It's kinda pointless like OP said and also not really specified well even today I would've made the same mistake, swapping sent for dpx but chose to go with sentinel without knowing if I switched I got struck with dot boost role although dpx needs siphon whatever.

The intended purpose, which Kabam communicated when they added the option, was to be able to swap champs according to the role boost and nothing else. It's not meant as a choice node to bring a counter for future fights and it's not meant to swap role boosts. It's intended and executed design is to let players swap champs according to their chosen role boost. It is working as Kabam intended it to function, whether players have a misunderstanding of how it's supposed to work or not.

Used hit monkey and thought I could switch the node too but nope. Swapping is just a useless feature.

My point exactly! And I stress that by actually swapping a champ out can be detrimental to your team if you don’t pick from a narrow pool of champs to which there really is no benefit. Whatever “rules” there are for this are either nonexistent or really vague. Probably as intended.

Whatever the current set up they should probably make it more player friendly given the high cost of raids and allow a boost swap also, after the champ swap.
