My WoF Runs & Rewards

TotemCorruptionTotemCorruption Member Posts: 2,919 ★★★★★
Just want to document this for myself for future reference (and for anyone else who might find an idea or two useful).
Only did the first quest so far; will update when I get to the later ones.

1. Gorr: Isophyne; probably restarted like 10 times until I did two things: (1) realize I didn't have my 5/5 MD mastery loadout active and (2) learn his SP2 dex. After that, I was able to get him down pretty easy.
2. Dazzler: Knull. Just used SP1s and only baited SP1s.
3. Lady D: 20 minute fight with FAM. Just used SP3s. Dash back when the power drain timer is about to expire.
4. Enchantress: Onslaught; easy fight because you benefit from her power gain and can special her constantly.
5. Thor Rags: Chee. Just bait specials constantly. Don't risk being aggressive.
6. Arcade: Vox. Easy fight because of undermine, poison immunity, and huge degen damage.
7. Leader: Attuma. My first time using Attuma; it went fine. Just stay close, bait only SP1s.
8. Bullseye: Sinister.
9. Torch: Spam. Need to read the nodes here to avoid dying, but otherwise easy if you're patient.
10. Serpent: Easy with R1 Spiral. Had never used her before, but I think she's great. That's the one benefit of this quest, made me realize that I need to rank up Spiral and put her in my BG deck instead of Isophyne.
11. Dust: Easy with R1 Ironheart. Another champ I had never used before, but really like now. Not sure I need or can afford to rank up another tech champ, but she's (or it's?) definitely a great attacker.
12. DThanos: Jean. Would've been a long and annoying fight without her.

Lmfao if you don't have roster or you don't have required champ to do quest 2-3 these rewards of quest 1 are ABSOLUTELY MEANINGLESS to do or even plan to do. anybody that can do the quest doesn't need these rewards and they feel like slap on the face add on the fact that you will likely get the same rewards from sidequest this whole month for 1/10 of efforts. It's truly the worse CONTENT DESIGN since Act 6. Remove all gate from quest 1 can't you understand Kabam?

Would you recommend DPX if no Jean? Cause I’m one of the unlucky stiffs who didn’t get lucky pulling her out of a titan

Click bait!!! I thought you did all 3 runs already.
Only problem I had with quest 1 was r2 susnpot vs reverse special spammy Dhanos.
About 10 revives in (not counting thus time).

Yeah, I mean, the only issue is the reverse controls.
But we've been there before (EoP Gwen, the necro challenge, etc.).
    Good luck!

Shrugg it off as a 4-5 revive tax. It won't hurt your stash.

Thank you! I’m terrible with reverse controls, but there isn’t a better counter in the 5 available champs in my roster. ( not gonna rant about it, I’ve said enough how I feel about it).

I appreciate this. At least it's a start and you have gotten it out of the way.

A couple of questions: Do we absolutely NEED MD mastery for the first fight? I don't have it set up and really get tired of doing the mastery shuffle.

Also, what other champion options are there for Lady D other than FAM?

I don't know who the options for Quest 3 DThanos are (and don't want to know right now), but for Quest 2 all I see is Beta, Rocket, and Moondragon, so unless you have Moondragon (I don't), you'll have to fight the reverse controls again.

I did Q1 Thanos with Sunspot. I took him over DPX because SS is as simple as it gets. Just parry, heavy, parry, ML, etc. Get to sp2 or sp3 and let it rip. I know DPX is far from complex but in a fight like this one I don’t want to have to string together any sequence of attacks, specials, etc. I just want a dumb way to do damage so I devote most of my limited processing power to tracking the reverse controls…

First anybody wondering who you can use for which fights.

I would double check these lists.
For example, as to Q2 Dthanos, I don't see Mantis as an option:

Ok, I went ahead with Q2 late last night because I couldn't fall asleep, and then I got really sleepy and made some dubious choices but finished it up this morning.
I also see now I forgot to list who I used for Q1 Spiral up top; it was Red Skull. SP2s while she's low on fervor to keep the shock resistance low.

    1. Gorr: Used 7R1 sig 20 Void. Your standard Void reverse heal fight.
    2. Dazzler: Spam. He's actually good for this fight. You can even eat an SP3 from her.
    3. LDS: Spunk, he's immune to rupture so finished this one with 100% health.
    4. Enchantress: OG Hulk. You can't stun lock her so took a few revives.
    5. Thor Rags: She-Hulk. Bad decision by me, forgot her kit doesn't work against Skill class.
    6. Arcade: Serpent. Just watch out for the steadfast buff he gets.
    7. Leader: Photon. I lost a bunch of health but then regen'd back up to like 90% by just parry heavying him. Photon's heavy animations are so long you'll be able to stay close to him and regen a lot. At least that's what I think was happening.
    8. Bullseye: Dazzler. Mine is only sig 20 so I had to play it safe; couldn't push him to SP2 that frequently.
    9. Torch: Used 7R1 Ibom. Made me realize Ibom's damage is garbage.
    10. Serpent: Chavez.
    11. Spiral: Used Bullseye; he doesn't get faltered, but his damage wasn't great here. Still haven't seen anyone solo this fight.
    12. Dust: NTW.
    13. DThanos: Beta Ray. This one was pretty tough early on until I got used to the flow of the reverse controls. But also because DThanos constantly did some messed up things at the worst times.

Rewards? Finally got that dupe on Falcon I'd been dreaming about (j/k).
Actually happy to get the Red Skull dupe though.

Awesome thanks. I was just about to post asking if Attuma would work for Leader since his regen rate can't be lowered.

Regarding Human Torch - would Silk be viable?

@altavista yes. Silk can. Solo in fact. I died two three times because I didn't have a strat. Look up andrews last fight with silk

Definitely viable, probably one of the best.
