Annihilus degen damage in raids

I keep getting degen damage while fighting annihilus in nightmare raids. Can someone tell me why??
I am using purgatory with Dot boost.

If the first any of the 3 of the first bosses are still up when you fight annilihus, you take 3% damage per second.
