When is 7 star arena coming?

It’s been quite a long time since the release of 7 stars. What’s the harm/ what’s the reason as to there being no 7 star arena? Is it possible to have that arena open to Paragon/ Valiants? Just a thought.

The harm would be units would be 10x harder to grind than they currently are, and only top 50-100 would get the 7*s anyways whoch are likely to be filled with bots or mercs

In reality, probably never. Maybe once 8* start to roll out, but even then it's unlikely. Arena hasn't been about champ acquisition for a long, long time. While that can be done to a very low level, it's really just about the units anymore.
Kabam has been quite clear that if they do anything at all to arenas, they will make adjustments to how quick and easy it is for us to farm units from them. Could they add a 7* arena that doesn't have any units and make it completely independent from the other arenas? Of course they could. But they won't because they don't want to. We currently live in a happy medium where we can quickly and easily farm units, but nothing else that we gain from arenas has any real impact on the game. The 7* they would give a whole probably 20 players per week access to would not be a quality of champs worth trading that access to units for.

The most probable reason is simply: no one wants to make one.

You're asking the wrong questions. What's the harm? Why not? There are in fact reasons why not, there is potential harm, but by in large no one buys those things, except, you know, people who design games. But the ultimate reason we don't have 7* arenas is everything has pros and cons, and there's always more things to do than there are hours in the day. So the actual reason why we don't have 7* arenas is: everything else the devs are working on is more important, and there's tons more things they would rather work on even if they had time to make it.

But if you want to know the technical reasons, you can't just add a 7* arena. You have to rebalance all the arenas with that arena existing within them. As a practical matter, you have to put rewards into that arena besides a hundred 7* champs at the top. You have to do an analysis of what that will do to the monetization economy pursuing those champs. And then all kind of people are going to whine and complain about how it should be 400 players getting the top champ not 100, and why aren't there units in that arena like all the others, and on and on and on. And once you start looking at arena rewards as a whole, you start asking questions about unit earning rates and whether they are what they should be relative to the rest of the game.

And all of this so a hundred people who are probably getting the new champs as 7 stars already get another way to get them, while thousands of players complain about how the devs got it all wrong and almost everyone gets less rewards for more effort.

Next month for instance we are experimenting with our first ever Side Quest that will have a competitive element where the top prize is the new 7-star champion. We have also been discussing other options to experiment with, though these are not imminent. Right now it's just an experiment.

Ok so a legit question, does these new ways to acquire champs take away from them going to the titan/basic afterwards on their supposed normal schedules?

That’ll probably be discussed on next stream tbh. They definitely want titans to feel TITAN so it may exclusive champs possibly

No the 7s from a teaser from stream is like rank rewarding like an arena but its gonna be a side quest thats competitive legends runs wont ever be a thing as reason they got removed was mercs and it being unfair because of them so this is a new thing entirely and im excited to see how it goes next month

They stopped reading when you said since it was targeted for higher progression players you put more battlechips and units into it.
