Enchantress questions for using her for questing

After duping her and getting access to the Charm spell, as well as being intrigued by her synergies (Dazzler, Onslaught), I'm considering taking her up for use in questing.
1. She gets Reverse control immunity from the Haste spell. Is her Reverse Control immunity active the entire 20 seconds that Transmutation spell is active, or only when she is Unstoppable (ie. dashing forward)?
2. As someone who tends to get hit by specials, would casting just 8 spells before transitioning to SP2 spam be a viable strategy? (I know the max is 12, and yes there are the Green spells to protect her, but the pain of losing spells when you have 9 or more feels worse to me than purposefully limiting my damage).
