Arena infinite streak

Coming back to the game after not playing for well over a year and wondering what the formula for arena infinite streak is now?
I have 40 6* and over 120 5* but many are still only rank 3/5 and none of my 6* are rank 2.
No 7* champions at all.

May not be feasible to get continuous streak with just 6-Star R1.

6* R2 is right at the edge of sustainability. You’re looking for a team that will be slightly higher than 1/3rd the PI of the maximal arena team without masteries, which is in the vicinity of 100k or so (its a bit more complicated than that, but this is a reasonable rule of thumb: the actual formula requires knowing the PI of the champs without sig levels or mastery bonuses, and the threshold is about 3.8x that number compared to the equivalent for your own teams). More or less, you need to be able to get to about 35k with your own teams (without recoil masteries which would distort the numbers) to avoid triggering a death match. That’s possible with 6* R2, but not 6* R1.

For smaller roster players, it would be better to grind the trials arena. There, since the max usable champ is 4*, it is easier to avoid death matches. Relatively low teams still work there (this is why that arena is capped to 4* champs in the first place).
