I was in Uru last season and got booted to Plat I don't care how far I get booted since I get the rewards but I feel it's hard getting back to gladiator circuit because the people I'm facing are like top tier bg players in early season

If you don't like the initial big accounts pushing wait like 1-2 weeks... otherwise that's just how it is a big race with every player in the game

Weird GC last season should have started at D5

You should’ve been booted to diamond 5, I think

So you don't want to face competition?

Demonzfyre it's not like I don't want competition it's the fact that I get put up against people with 10 r4 champs full roster of r3s in there to and I don't even have my first r4

Yeah, everyone who played at least 1 match in gladiator circuit should go back to diamond 5 at the beginning of the next season.

Normally it wouldn't matter. Wait until the players with the bigger rosters get up to GC and then make the progression up yourself, fighting against accounts that are similar to yours.

The complication in the Victory Track now is that we have the Summoners Fest running and to get the points you need to be winning matches every two days from the Battlegrounds objectives. And many players simply have zero chance against rosters with multiple 7*R4s.

Yes it's a competition. But putting the Summoners Fest points into a competitive mode like BG feels a little off. It does enable the rich to get richer (and I'm not taking about FTP or anything like that).

Do you think running against professional athletes when you don't have one leg is competition?

What? That's not the same comparison. A better comparison is this-

The Colorado Rockies are the worst team in the MLB. By your logic, they shouldn't have to play the top teams that are in the same league as you.

BGs is like baseball. You're in the same league, some will be good some will be bad but in order to get to the world series, you have to face and beat the competition. If you can't beat those rosters, then you don't deserve to advance.

This season of Battleground is terrible.. so many matches with multiple rank4 7* champions with fairly high sig or sig200.. or unlucky draws.. little motivation to play.. I had to forfeit vs these whale accounts..

Its not i don't want to play.. but getting match against whale accounts who own the top attackers and defender at 7* variety is just deflating.

It’s the race for the resources. Everyone wants their rankup-resources. If you want to get these 10k for reaching and winning 1 match in gc I suggest you to play 1-3 matches here and there and play this way till last day and when you get to the final day when you’re able to collect the radiance and you didn’t reach gc, so you should to start grinding. I lasted the last season in arcane 2, I have 4 r4s and some r2s and some 6* maxed out in my deck, but it‘s still tough to play against whales, but they usually are not much of threat. You only need to pray to get right counters for their defenders. And I find it kinda fun to play against whales and explore your and yours champions limits. This way O discovered some unplayable matchups like adam against enchatress or shatra vs photon and how much of s threat is spider-woman on defense when you don’t have slow or anti-evade

Why not even try? What of that other person just sucks and is counting on you to forfeit? Like, why not get practice?

In baseball, the teams that don't make the postseason receive the first lottery picks in the draft, with the teams with the worst records getting higher percentages for their lottery entries. Teams that do make the postseason must wait to draft after. And there are penalties for teams that outspend their allotment in the pool, including a tax on overspending and the loss of future draft picks.

Baseball also doesn't have a regular season where the teams that dominated in the majors start the next season in the minors where they face minor league teams or amateur teams, with MLB awarding massive bonuses for beating them--bonuses which are then spent on buying the best available players and developing them.

You must be MSD in disguise if you can go in with a deck with zero r4 and probably not even full deck of r3 and take out the whales with 10 r4 champs.
I guess we'll see you at the summoner fest battlerealm brawl if you're that good!

BGs is all the same competition. The tiers don't matter for the analogy because everyone starts somewhere. It's big market teams vs small market teams. It still doesn't detract that Colorado still has to play better teams all season long.

Nah, it should be compared to fighting sports like boxing or karate. Usually there are weight categories so that 40kg guy doesn't have to fight 100kg guy. Hypothetically first can win, yet for some reason they do that... One would wonder why, right?

There is no penalty on teams spending there is no salary cap teams spend as much as the billionaire owners want to spend it's actually the only professional sport out their without a salary cap

Lot easier to win 3 matches every 2 days in diamond than in GC. Lot of big accounts just foregoing radiance milestones to make sure they complete summer fest objectives.

Another brilliant implementation from Kabam… get things somewhat sorted to get people to push, and then blow it all up for the next two months. Well done

There are significant penalties on spending in baseball. Baseball has luxury caps, where you are allowed to spend as much as you want, but as you exceed certain thresholds you are required to pay fines. The Dodgers paid an extra $103m in fines last year for exceeding the luxury threshold. So it's not a hard cap, but there can be significant penalties for overspending.
What you're responding to still doesn't make a ton of sense, but just wanted to clear that up. Yes, baseball doesn't have a hard cap, but they do have significant penalties that increase as teams spend more. Of course, the billionaires don't really have to care.

So it's kind of like the NBA in a way where it's not a hard cap like the nfl but depending on how much you spend if you go over thresh holds then you have fines that come with it?
