What else a company supposed to do besides making money?
Provide the service they re supposed to as an entertainment company. Aka, entertain.
They provide a free mobile that has no requirements to spend. They've done their job.
If it s buggy, uninspired and sloppy/amateurish, it s not. Every and any company has to make their customers ' money worth. And/Or time.
If you personally feel you getting back what you give, that s fine. Delusional, but fine, we don t judge here.
Let's see- 1. It's the longest running marvel mobile game. 2. It's one of the most popular marvel mobile games. 3. It's free. 4. You don't have pay anything to play. 5. It's marketed to everyone and has done a lot to still attract new players.
Have I gotten what I put into it? Yes. I get the items that I've paid for. I'm not an investor putting money into a game to get returns. Neither are you. My money goes to buy things I want to try and get ahead faster in the game. It's the same for you. Your money doesn't go directly to Kabam anyways so everything you just said doesn't actually matter.
They do plenty to make us happy and plenty to upset us and then some of the community just isn't happy regardless. But let's not pretend that you're supposed to get more than that offer you buy. There's no extra strings attached to that purchase. So yes, I'm getting what I put into it.

Btw when I was saying "getting your money back", it was in a more aspect of entertainment environment, not buying the catalysts you need and the price is fine. The catalyst is the mean to an end, to playing, to enjoyement. But, good for you. Personally, the entertainment factor of this game, is almost gone, in a 60-70% of the times. When I go to play a mode, with the intention of having fun, since, well, it Is still a game, and I get 80% frustration and 20% fullfilement and joy of playing, I don t see where I got my money s worth. I just finished act 4 of valiant gauntlet. I could nt count how many times the defender dropped his special in the middle of my heavy or relic. Not even mentioning the constant backsteps when I was charging for an intercept. That s not fun, quite the opposite, and, that s not the service I am paying for.

I can't figure out how you equate buying an offer equals entertainment. Whether the game has a bug or not, buying that offer gives you the same thing. Spending money has never made me have fun MCOC. It's only ever allowed me to compensate for my lack of skills and playing with a highly competitive alliance.

Honestly, and I don’t say this on the forums ever — but skill issue, buddy. If you are getting specialed to the face while trying to land heavies, you’re probably throwing them at the wrong time.
I wouldn’t spend my time doing anything that was 80% frustration and 20% enjoyment. That’s crazy.
There are players who spend like money is no object. Helpful to bottom line of game. These players deserve to be ahead of players who think you’re just a better player.
They will still face those players that are really good but deserve the advantage.

What s the right time when the opponent throws a special between the 1st and the second hit of your heavy?

You buy the offer to be able to play the way you like then, as I said, the purchase is just the tool to enjoy better the game.

Try going to restaurants and eat without paying. Then tell them that they are in the hospitality industry and supposed to provide food and beverages. Let see if they agree with you for not paying.
Or simply if your boss doesn’t pay you for the work you do there.
The game is ads free, and free to play, what else are expecting?
I refuse to imagine how smart you must have felt when typing out those analogies. Think again for a bit, the request from the comment you replied to is nothing similar to what you just said.
Entertainment industry = give free movie tickets Is that okay analogy for comparison?
No. Entertainment insdustry= make decent movies so I can be happy and eager to buy a ticket to watch them. You make something for everyone, f2p or p2p, doesn t matter. You entertain.
Once upon a time online games used to do that. They sold subscriptions to their games and everyone had to pay the same amount. They competed on the basis of whether they could convince people to pay for the ticket.
Guess who largely destroyed that model? It was the players, not the companies. The companies were happy to just keep charging people. But the instant the free to play gaming model appeared, the vast majority of game players flocked to it, and made it largely non-viable.
Game companies cannot compete on the basis of which game convinces everyone to pay. Because almost no one wants to pay, period. Not even in the most successful games these days do most people pay. Game companies compete on the basis of convincing enough players to spend a ton to compensate for the vast majority of players who refuse to pay anything. You want to go back to the days when everyone *had* to pay, and game companies competed on the basis of convincing everyone to pay them? Good luck. The game companies aren’t going to do it if it means corporate suicide. The 95% of the gaming population that wants to play most or all of their games for free isn’t going to hop aboard either. And the whales have no self interest in your crusade.
And to be blunt, the vast majority of people who are left probably deep down inside would rather complain about it than actually see it changed. Most of the gaming talking heads would have nothing to do if they were not complaining about game monetization.

By making the game easier, many players will stop playing bcos it's boring
It's a delicate balance, making the game challenging but not impossible
It’s ridiculous thinking there’s any reason to think you can’t play without 8-10 hours a day.
“Some dude spent hundreds of thousands for a character?”.
We gotta kick this up a notch and see how far we can take it.

That kinda leaves nobody left.
But this will get deleted.
This game had an amazing monetization structure in place then went too far.
We will see how it goes.
Is it Lamborghini's fault that you cannot afford to buy their car?
That's the reality in this world
