Nightmare raids

So I’m having trouble understanding one thing… so my alliance that I was just in players are very inactive I was able to beat week 1 of the raids and get the first raid token which will be used for the champion selector but no one was pushing besides me so I joined a new alliance today and it said I could not join the raids but I know the next day it lets you when it’s a regular quest, so I just wanted to know will I be able to play in this week nightmare raid even though I can’t join today could I join at the start of tomorrow since it would be a new day??? I don’t think I should be punished for an inactive alliance and not be able to participate for a whole week and potentially miss out on a champion selector which I really want ultron or sinister

No, you need to be in the alliance when the raid starts.

Ofc classic kabam this is ridiculous lmao I don’t know why I thought I would even be able to play so now I’ll have pointless tokens in my inventory for no reason

The rule for Alliance Quest has always been that you cannot join a map if you join the alliance after the map starts. For regular AQ, that's usually not an issue because a new map starts the next day. For raids, a new map never comes, so you can never join after it starts. Fits perfectly with the way things have always worked.
On top of that, raids actually require you to be in an alliance at least 24 hours prior to their starting, so no matter what you did you were going to have to give up last week's rewards or this week's. It sucks in your situation, but this really isn't anything new.
