My 2 big issues with the mode are the energy cost and the way the holo swap out works. For a side quest, the energy cost is way too high given the amount of times that you have to play to move up in points for milestones and rank rewards. We do have other quest to complete as well. For the holo swap out, we should be able to determine how many to swap out rather than the game generating a random number for us. If i have 2 or 3 of a kind i shouldn't be forced to swap out 4 holos so that i end up with nothing.
Can someone please explain what to do, in idiot, so I understand?
Have u ever played either video poker or 5 card poker in any way? If so, it's basically that. Only using mcoc instead of cards. Your Trying to built the best 5 hand. 2 pair, 3 of a kind, etc...
Thanks, I had a go and it's not as annoying as I expected!
Now im not sure if this normal or not for video games in general or card type games but am I the only person who thinks needing to know what a good poker hand is in a game that probably has a significant number of players who are underage is strange?

Won't bother my kids, I've been taking their money, I mean chips, I mean skittles for years.

Nevermind, i see now how to choose the amount of holos to swap out but still greatly dissatisfied with the energy cost for the game mode
Guess I’m against the grain, but I hate this mode. My only goal is to place top 50%, and honestly it’s entirely up to RNG. Played it probably 40 times and my lord it’s boring.
It’s all just luck of the draw, with the addition of boring, unchallenging fights in between what actually matters. I know fighting is the core of the game, but just get rid of it here
This feels like the mini games in RPGs like Sabacc in Star Wars Outlaws or Machine Strike in the Horizon games. It’s completely novel and unrelated to anything else in the game. I’m going to obsess over it for a short period of time and get bored with it quickly.
As much as the side quests have been hit or miss lately, that at least related to your skill at playing the game.
I think many of the people asking that this mode be made permanent will regret it after grinding the mode month after month when the novelty wears off.
@KabamPinwheel I saw that you said the issue was fixed for not being able to log in but I am still facing the same issue. Is there any update on this and when I will be able to get back in?

I think this is a great comparison (especially cause I enjoy those mini games haha). I can say that this mode is not a permanent edition, its just this months side quest. It may (likely will) return in the future in some form, with a twist or change or update, but its not a permanent mode. Whole point is to add some variety/change of pace, making it permanent would probably hurt those efforts haha.
14:24 Brazil time and here the error still persists, and there are no updates in the store
Hmm, an full restarting the game hasnt fixed it? You may need to reach out to support directly, may be something with your specific account. Wish I had a better answer for you, sorry!

Yes, I sent a message first thing this morning, but I got this reply. I've reinstalled it a few times, and the app is up to date.

I’m getting the exact same message here, not much clarification provided and it is getting quite frustrating since it’s been a day now with no indication or information on when we can log back in.
Once we complete the 7 day clash, do we keep playing to gain more points?
It runs for 3 weeks, each week I think the 10k milestones reset. And after the first week if you get top 50% you get access to the second milestone track unlocks

As a humble feedback: - My wife agreed on the fact this game mode is very original. - We disagreed on how we appreciated it. She disliked because of the need to think (as we play MCOC the evening in front of a movie or a series). And I like it a lot, even if it is a bit long (but nice rewards). - I started to play without reading anything else before. Just as some players discovered this mode. As an « idiotproof », it took me 4 tries to understand that the main point is not the fight.
The person who has had this idea of a crossover between MCOC and the poker is the employee of the month! It opens a way for others crossovers to experiment.

Anyone else got Lucky?

Also once you’ve hit 10k think it should provide battle chips.

You've got four suits (Earth, Air, Water, Fire) the the Fantastic Four.
And the FF champs are Aces.
You get dealt a hand:
In this one, I want to swap out two 'cards', to see if I can get a Flush. So I pick a fight with Sentry.
After the fight, I get this screen:
Select the champions/cards you want to get rid of:
After the swap, you'll see your new hand:
Now, if you've got a scoring hand, you'll see it at the bottom (blue box).
If you're happy with your cards/score, pick a fight with the boss (red box).
If you want to swap more cards, choose a different opponent, depending on how many you want to swap. You can swap up to three times.
And that's it.
