Relic gain has been accidentally? nerfed

Clickbait title but its the only way people actually notice these posts...

Relic gain has felt slower recently so I found an old video I have of a champ getting a relic within a certain combo, and copied that combo and I only got 75% of a relic...

It's not really an accurate sample. You're fully boosted in the first video and not boosted in the second.
I just did a small test with the same relic, and it actually took me a couple less hits to fill the striker with some small boosts on than it did without boosts. So maybe filling the spirit gauge is at least partially impacted by damage dealt? Can't say for certain as it was just a small sample size. But either way, your fights aren't identical, so it's hard say that they mean anything.

I don't have to do the same combo as you if I do the same thing twice in a different fight...still the same model of testing.

Right... but im saying its changed at some point from April to July, ofc you wont see a difference in match ups today.. but how else do you explain the change over the months?? cause its clearly not damage related as the 6 and 7* champs get the same 3/4s of a relic in July regardless of what numbers their actually doing.

I couldn't find it. It was probably from the Korean creator, who still creates infographics.

Find it and test it. And don't boost.

I did test it myself when i first got relics, idk if it's still the same or changed. iirc, the 6 star relic took 27 hits to fill up, 5 star 28, 4 star 32 or something. All unboosted, against Rol WS. Just Parry and MLLLM combo.
Heavies or specials (or getting hit) could be different.

Edit: idk if relic level or rank also affects this.

Im not aware if ranks increases Spirit gauge rate.
