Recruitment - Where's the gameplay???

From my post on the discord server (since it seems that the feedback/suggestions channels there are largely ignored as far as I can tell and my feedback remains unchanged):
Yeah, this is not fun. If I wanted to play poker, I'd go to vegas. Actually wild that this has nothing to do at all with your actual skill level and more to do with how many energy refills you can spam. Great stuff.

The mode gets boring after the 5th match, the fights don't mean squat and no, making them more difficult wouldn't solve this problem, but exacerbate it. Because the inherent problem is that the fights are only shoehorned in because that is the basic gameplay of MCoC, which recruitment (Poker) is inherently not.

Furthermore I can safely say with confidence that bar none, the most disliked thing about any game, ever, is the RNG aspect. There is nothing fun or challenging about this mode.

I hate to say it, but this game mode is inherently flawed for this reason. The only viable fix, in my opinion, would be a complete rework.

My suggestion for this gamemode would be as follows:
- Remove the 5-card draw elements entirely
- Scoring is now done through a boss rush type game mode, earning points sequentially as you challenge bosses
- You draw 5 holos at the start of a round
- 5 bosses are presented to you, whom you must fight
- once you've beaten all 5 bosses, you may either bank your points or play another round
- the holos you drew are rerolled, and their health is restored by ~20% or so
- with each round, boss health increases, but so does their point multiplier. each round 1 boss might give 10 points, and each round 2 boss gives 30.
- If a holo is KOed, it's gone for the rest of the game. You still have to fight 5 bosses each round, though.
- energized still works as it does at present
- solo/realm events still work as is as well

I think this is a much more rewarding way to present a PvE gamemode, while still keeping in those RNG elements. It also emphasizes problem solving, since in later rounds you'll have to take some unique matchups under the pressure of smaller teams. This rework of recruitment, in my humble opinion, is rewarding to players with vast game knowledge and mechanical skill, which is what one would expect from a game that's been out for over 10 years now where over half of the gameplay is about your game knowledge.

Why are you spamming, so many threads damn.
(It's just two threads, I though you posted like 6 back to back, my bad.)
I don't like this gamemode either. So I'm going to ignore it for most of the part.
