(BGs) The player that drafts first places first???

It's actually crazy to me someone *hasn't* mentioned this yet. I mean, I remember raging about this once or twice but it feels like this gets forgotten like all the time. Perhaps this problem wasn't talked about in the earlier seasons because only just now have Kabam started pushing out the most poorly designed unfun stall champions of all time versus when we'd get them maybe once a year. The recent champion releases have made this gamemode so much worse than any problem this game has ever had. At this point. either introduce blacklists or release the format change already because this is extremely unplayable.
Like the player that drafts first is already objectively at a massive disadvantage. The fact that the other summoner can draft a serpent, enchantress, Yelena, Sentinel, or Dark Phoenix without the ability to answer it on my end just sucks bigly. I cannot account for and draft a counter to every possible defender they might pull as that last 7th champion and it makes counter drafting miserable and extremely unfun because you have to somehow draft counters for every champion that *might* show up in those last 3; you have to *assume* that they will indeed pull each one or you just immediately lose a round if they do.
***That's*** just the problem with drafting first, but it sucks and someone has to, obviously. (sans blind drafting of course but that would only exacerbate the problems mentioned threefold) (And again, **this problem only exists because of the miserable boring defenders introduced that not a single soul enjoys fighting**. I genuinely have no idea how we went from Arcade and Onslaught to Dark Phoenix and Yelena. Do the kabam devs hate skill expression? Becuase the last 6 defenders across the last 6 months seem to imply that.
As a cherry on top, the player who has to draft first also??? places first??? Why??? This means that in the final round, they place first as well, and the player who places first is much more susceptible to getting trapped. It's genuinely so punishing to draft first, you start with such a disadvantage for no reason. If I have to draft first, at least allow me to place second.
And introduce a damn blacklist, fighting 70x serpents/yelenas/Enchantresses/Zolas every single season makes the gamemode stale and boring.

I thought they would have changed something by now.
Maybe they will....
Someday.
