Why can't we upload vids directly to the forum anymore?

I know it's been a while since that option has been removed, but was just wondering why. It's more convenient for players than having to create a YT channel and posting the link.

Videos take up a lot of space on their server why would they want to waste server costs that's why video upload is not supported

My guess is the risk of people uploading inappropriate stuff.

Since I've been on the forms, you've never been able to embed videos. You've always had to post them to Youtube and post the link.

No, we used to be able to upload vids directly to the forum. The file size had limits, but we were still able to do it.
