Something seems off. Kabam is playing with fire on this one. Give one free someone pulls 5k shards. Then someone buys one for 40 dollars and pull it again. They have now gambled by buying the second one and got an item they still get nothing for and now only option to actually get something for the money they spent is to now use units and buy more or keeping gambling and buy more keys which could end up taking 13 more keys.

I figured there would be a FTP way to get more eventually ans that's why they were included.

This is odd as one free key could have been something we all get and just what we get could have been based on progression like the choice of things and then RNG within that. Odd that unless you are top progression you don't get nothing at all.

The highest progression was available in game 2 1/2 years ago. Two and a Half YEARS ago.

So its basically envy then? You are mad other people got lucky and you didn't?
And it’s not envy for me. It’s a frustration that the game developers made the box with useless rewards apart from spending.

The last 2 boxes had a guaranteed 7 star champ. Even if I didn’t get a 7 star I wanted, I still got a 7 star. Not a 1/3 of a 7 star only in unique shards that hold zero value if I can’t complete to 15000.

I think you’re putting too much faith in the concept of boxes. The last boxes were good because they were made to be good for a special event. It doesn’t mean that every box will be good henceforth. They’re just a tool to deliver certain rewards, like crystals are.

Thankful for something free, but honestly I’m a bit puzzled. Not sure why anyone can be gifted something that can’t even be utilized once they get it. 🤷🏼‍♂️

How so? A gift is a gift. We're not owed it.
It's not a gift if it's basically a psychologically manipulative advertisement embedded into your stash to remind you everyday that you'll never be able to use those "free" shards unless you pay for the remaining necessary shards.
Each possible item in this gift should've been something theoretically usable without having to pay money.
If you can't see how that's a dirty tactic then you're either a bad faith troll or a good faith moron.

You’re not going to be seeing those shards every day dude. Heck I don’t even know where they go. If this is supposed to be some manipulative advertisement, it isn’t any different from the usual strategies they use like throwing out a million bad deals on the daily.

So, there are so many things that have bothered me with this game lately. I won't defend the event, because this was the one that caused me to never spend on this game again. I had the extra funds aside to grab 2 keys. One was useless shards and the other was 15 Valiant Crystals. Which, cool! I have 15 chances at a 7*. Nope. Pulled 15 5* champions.
This is goes along with progression and potions / ISO as well. Think about it. I am Valiant and say my 7* Thing is KO'd in War. If I want to add a potion, the basic one gives me +325 health. Wow! I lost 84,131. That 325 is gonna be awesome! I can use 20 of them and get 6,500 health back. Then, most quests give me that big 75 ISO. Woohoo! The potions should be % and not set number.
