How to recover account-New Phone

My son's old phone did not have enough storage for the last update. We gave him another phone but now cannot get into the account. Can anyone help recover? He sent a message from in the game or his email but got no response I guess. He had a 5* Onslaught so wants to keep that account lol.

Question, was he logged into game using an actual Kabam ID (email as a username, and password) ?
Or did he login via automatic method from Google/Apple Play/Game center method ?

Either way, can login to game on new device using same method (so long as he/you remember what that username/password is, and which method they used).

So I guess maybe he did not write down or remember what the login is ?
(Have to wait for Kabam to come back into office)
