Removing M.O.D.O.K's previous signature ability hit hard...

Hey Kabam,

I like the new upgraded Modok. He seems to hit a lot harder than before, but did you guys have to remove his previous sig ability? He used to have class bonuses against classes he had already defeated in battle. It was unique because it fit into his character as a super genius who learns from previous battles. The mystic class was my favourite because Modok would siphon power from his opponents whenever they hit his block.

Does anyone else miss his old sig ability, or is it just me? It'd be pretty cool if Modok got it back like that time when everyone clamoured over Hood's kits lol.

    I was hesitant at first due to just how much that sig helped his block proficiency, but they buffed that. Its still not good, but very much better than it was. The class stuff is touch and go. Im fine losing it all for the added debuff potency.

    I agree with you, but I don't see why they couldn't have merged the two sig abilities.

    The old sig ability was pretty useless. I don't think this is something to be complaining about.

    I used him often in AQ content or when I played the story mode in Act 6. Mr. Sinister and Modok were a deadly combo especially when you ramped up their sig ability :(

    The old sig ability was pretty useless. I don't think this is something to be complaining about.

    Talking about a subject in a civilized way vs complaining are not the same thing. Besides, talking about the game is the purpose of these forums

    Tell me about it,i was happy he could be like Mister Sinister and i tought they would actually try to fix his flux

    The biggest change was the Incinarate increase and the counter for the Crit hit that ins't guareented anymore,i just wanted Rintrah Synergy base kit and 5 of 8 flux effects removed

    Yeah I miss it a bit, I used 4* modok back in act 3 and 4. I think he was my first r4 4* if I remember properly.

    The problem with that whole sig ability was that basically all it did was give you very slight benefits whenever you were struck, which is largely pointless and quite useless. It did give you some much-needed block proficiency as well but if that's been moved into his base kit, I'm happy with that.

    While I can see the benefit of gaining power whenever a Mystic champion strikes your block, he's never had the block proficiency to take many blocked hits anyway. As such, I don't value that ability particularly highly.
