How does one determine their FIRST R4?

I finally have enough T7Bs for my first ever Rank 4, but it feels slightly unfulfilling because where do I invest? If I do it for any Battlegrounds threat, especially defender or dual threat, they'll obviously get banned. Do I spend it on primarily an attacker? Someone who will most help through things like Ordeal and Crucible and rest of Act 9? Prestige for the upcoming variable event quests format?

Any opinions are always greatly appreciated, not sure exactly where to go. Also of note, some of my R2's include Hyperion, Bishop, Guardian, Hulk, Titania, Phoenix, Domino, Enchantress, Arcade, Angela, and Spider-Man Stark. I also have a Cosmic awakening gem and a Generic awakening gem.

Dual Threat is a key and its depend on your opinion too, to whom you like to play with in future

The mathematical logic is to go with any champion that can be used as defender bcos they get multiplier benefits to damage and healthpool in battlegrounds

A 7* rank 4 attacker gets no benefits in battlegrounds, incremental benefits to stats compared to rank 3 so it's not really beneficial to rank up attacker

Case in point, a rank 4 juggernaut performs marginally better than a rank 3 juggernaut

Any first rank 4 will always get banned especially if they are good on defense. You're wasting your resources if you rank up a defender. At least with an attacker you have someone usable in questing
