Don't Quit on BC relics

While I find statcast relics enjoyable, I just can't find them having a better concept than battle cast relics. Battlecast relics require specific champions and abilities to work, which is inconvenient and slightly annoying, but when you do find a good pair the difference is definitely noticeable and ends up making the champion better by a great amount. Statcast relics on the other hand focus on enhancing stats rather than abilities allowing them to have easy access but also turn out bland, it doesn't feel like I'm making my champion more effective, rather a background boost that I won't notice most of the time.
Finding the right combination with a battlecast relic may be a bit tedious but the payoff is having an overall better working champion, Statcast relics just don't feel like that for me.

100 percent agree. just seems like a cheap way to ignore the beneficiary attributes of normal relics

They didn't say they were never going to make more battlecasts. Only that they arent making any more until they find one they want to make.

Another case where Kabam had a lofty vision for what something could be, the work became too much, and then they scaled back and/or adopted a lazier approach.

I'm still on the team that would be fine if relics just ceased to exist, but if we're going to have them they should come with some heart behind them.

On stream they said it was because of the extra tuning work with the resources they had was stretching them away from other projects. battlecast relics definitely have a LOT more work to them.

I would much rather have BC relics. These stat ones are not nearly as good.

I think some of these new 7* relics at max rank might be pretty insane for some champs, especially things like energy/critical resistance or critical rating. But I really haven't looked.

Of course some BC relics, like my 6R3 Ant-Man relic, are just perfect for SW or SH.

Good thing we have both kinds I guess.

And especially if this means we can assign good relics to our good champs and then never have to go back and swap relics every time we do new content, then that's a win in my book.
