Statcast vs Battlecast

I'm a bit behind on the news but also can't keep up with everything happening in this game anymore.

If my main focus in the games is playing BGs and completing long overdue story content, all things equal (* rarity, rank, level, and sig) is it better to apply a Statcast or Battlecast to an attacking champ? Or can you apply both?

Edit: Pretty certain I created a poll and had options entered but I don't see it. I do not like the new forum look.

You cannot apply both and neither is necessarily better. Some relic combos, like a Hulkbuster battlecast relic with Guardian, will be better than any statcast relic you could put on him. Its really a case by case thing.

I believe the original battlecast relic is better since you have some customization with higher variety giving more option 3* 4* 5* and 6* [pick 3 stat to improve your champion].

from my understanding, statcast relic has pre-built stats.. that is why there is four (4) of each champion.. starting from 5* 6* and 7* variety.

Mutant: Magneto, Colossus

Skill: Bullseye, Punisher

Science: Capt America (Beardo), Thing

Mystic: Kushala, The Destroyer

Tech: Ironman IW, Prowler

Cosmic: Hulkling, Superior Ironman

I only have four (4) 5* Statcast relics.. Kushala, Prowler, Colossus, and Magneto

(Good) battlecasts were so good they literally had to stop making them because they took too much balance work and statcasts are the quicker and easier alternative. Which I think answers the question in itself
