Is Blade Overrated??

Blade has been called the best champion of 2017 by many people, but why? Why does he top the likes of Stark Spidey, AA, and Iceman? What makes him the best champion? I am not hating on Blade, I just want to know the reasoning behind Blade being the top champion of 2017.

Please nerf blade before I get him.
People have been trained to think the best mystic defenders are untouchable. We've been abused so long by dexterity's interaction with MD, unavoidable nonsense damage scaling up with nodes, and general mystic defender nonsense that people are still coming to terms with having an offensive champ that destroys them by default.
Most champs have specific abilities that extremely useful against a certain niche of the MCOC universe. Blade just happens to be useful against the segment of champs that have mentally abused us the most.. that we are used to having the most trouble against. So everyone is acting like he's a god and thus he is overrated.
And until kabam replaces "mystic defenders rule everything" with a new paradigm, blade will continue to be overrated by people who expect their Dorms/Magiks/Mephistos to get 20 kills every war.
True gods no longer exist.. RIP to OG strange, OG thor, OG SW. True gods that are gone but not forgotten.
he's not getting nerfed. people think it's an accident that kabam designed blade to wreck the normal AW defenders. kabam wants diversity in AW. in addition to the AW diversity system, they release a champ that neutralizes the most over-utilized defenders. it was intentional. outside of those villain defenders, blade is really not extraordinary. still really good but better options exist.
I think it's clear auto-block and auto-counter abilities is the direction kabam is heading in for defenders. that utility will only get more annoying. Modok is just the beginning.
witch was a cheat code. didnt even need a crit team.
before 12.0 update: map 6, day 5, 10k prestige. final magneto with 200% boost, optimist, pessimist, and degen. started the fight with SW around 50% health. beat him in 56 seconds and finished with full health. and that was with no extra crit team.
she was 100% a cheat code. comparing blade to OG Witch is laughable so don't sweat it.
comparing blade to any of the true god tier champions pre 12.0 is laughable.

In all categories, wow I think you are trying to say overall because he is not the best in any of the categories let me show you:
Prestige - wrong, thor rags for example
Attack - you mean base attack, nope, rocket for example is higher
Regen - nope you sacrifice power and chance to get cornered + block damage. Wolvie + GR much better
Ability accuracy - BW, AA are much better CB for defensive abilities.
Damage - wrong again, spark has higher dps for mid fights, really long fights spark still has more but SL comes close, hyperion and AA honorable mentions here too. Even with danger sense active, non immune opponents and class bonus (like the RH fights we see on yt) he barely keeps up with spark and SL.
Special damage - No, I am guessing you dont have a medusa or a high dupe storm?
Utility - why is this even a category when you have listed a bunch of utilities, illogical to have another category for it.
Sorry to debunk these myths.
If you had said overall and not "top in all categories", you might have an argument. But what you stated is just misinformation.
Read @rektor's posts they pretty much are factual and the truth.
Blade is so overhyped by the people that are crying with 4/55 magiks/dont have him.
Great post full of facts here. Blade is a jack of all trades & master of none.... except for shredding mystic defenders (synergy required).
Good overall champ.
Also, the ignore feature works wonders.
Sorry he’s top if not the top, so much so people need to propose ridiculous scenarios to claim colossus is his weakness, Iceman brings more to questing, that he is nothing without bleeds, basically they need to lie about him to minimize him because they know how obscenely powerful he is and covet him above all others.
P.S. I have every 4* and the 4s mentioned in this thread at 5/50 or 3/45 and Blade is above them all.
Last I checked the summoner leaderboard was 25% Blade and growing. The community knows and agrees he’s the best around so much so they throw all their 5* sig stones and end game rank up materials at him.
Just to prove a point that you are spreading misinformation and everything I posted are as good as facts, here is prestige for example. Not sure maybe you are going by PI?
16th @ sig 20 and 17th @ sig 99 is nowhere near the top. Yes 5*s scale a little differently but how can one make that assumption when the information does not even exist yet?
Try harder on your nerf campaigns. Remember oppinions are subjective, numbers are not.
