Soooo….Mangog. Am I nuts, or is this AWAKENED kit actually good??????

So, Mangog.

TLDR version: I recently awakened the 7-star version, which I had forever. Never played it because it felt really bad, I duped. Tried again after it was awakened and it felt like a totally new kit — a good one! Am I crazy? Are people playing duped Mangogs and I just didn’t know????!!!!

I actually like the character from the source material, but again, there are so many characters in the game — and to be clear, I am not saying it’s great or gamechanging or meta-relevant.

I play the game for fun, and I am not the greatest player ever. I just like collecting kits and testing them. It’s certainly an older kit and I don’t see anyone who is trying to be really competitive investing resources into it.

But for me? This kit is kinda fun — but it absolutely HAS TO BE AWAKENED.

It has to be on the shortlist for kits in this game that absolutely have to be awakened to be playable — to me, for how I understand the game, it’s not as important as Void or Aegon, but it’s in that same classroom.

It’s like an entirely different character, duped. Everything — every single thing — is better.

I post about these kinds of things just to draw attention to the older kits, for people who are just looking for something different to do with their rosters on any given day.

I think I might rank this thing — I am totally serious. I am actually looking at my resource stash to see what I can do for this kit 😅😅

Mangog kind of rules. Consistent access to stagger off the heavy, immunity to armor break and bleed, a special 2 that melts people when properly ramped up. Yeah, I can see why people would say he's underrated.

The Awakening makes soo much difference and hel with how little his Enrage mode last, seriously you can keep up for a long time if the opponent have a ton of buffs or you have good RNG

@Finalfuryk and @GilbertoJunior : You know what I also found out, once I actually focused on the kit for a bit?

There is sneaky-utility in there.

What I like to do, at this stage of the game’s lifecycle, is see if a kit I am testing can clear Realm solo AND how it feels doing it —it obviously is not hard to solo Realm, but you do have to answer certain questions:

Do you have anything for Wolverine’s regeneration, whether it’s brute force/scaling DPS, or utility that reverses or blocks it?
Scarlet Witch’s Poison can be annoying. Do you have any resistances or healing in your own kit?

Other than that, does the DPS feel OK — not great, not horrible — in clearing the fights?

I have to say, 7-star Mangog, Rank 1/25, felt totally fine. Not bad, not great. Just totally fine, totally in control. DPS solid, utility easy to access to eliminate Wolverine, plenty of durability and survivability in the kit to access whenever you want.

Again: Not saying it’s the greatest kit ever, that people should rank it, that it’s a hidden gem.

It just works really effectively and efficiently for a kit of that age and era. You can do stuff with it.

I am gonna rank mine and just keep messing with it, see how the DPS scales with more resource investment. Just to see
