Rebirth Calender is W

In this time when Kabam is screwing up a lot of things I must admit the rebirth Calender is massive W looks juicy as hell for simply being a calender.

No I think that 7 hour crystal will start on Thursday for me since I'm in an asian country the our time zone is earlier then american time zones

if there was a t4a or half a t4a instead of 6* shards for valiant, except tht its amazing.

We almost got the same calendar of last year with approximately 1.5-1.66 times the values. Only major difference is 7 star shards getting doubled and 6 star shards losing 1/3 of the amount put last year, also 2.5 t6cc instead of just 1. Considering a whole year has passed and we're already moving so fast, I find it a reasonable request to ask for at least some t4a maybe instead of a lazy copy paste with updated numbers.

Call me a pessimist all you want, I acknowledge that I am but that doesn't mean I can't ever make a point. I see no reason why at least half a t4a couldn't have replaced the 6 star shards but that might have to do with constraints regarding the quarterly W budget.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining or ungrateful. Just think that this is nothing substantial in comparison to last year, in todays game. Wouldn't consider it a massive step up even though free stuff is always nice and resources are still valuable for the most part. 6 star shards may seem ridiculous at first for seasoned valiants but hopefully prestige changes can fix that if W budget allows 🙏

Most valuable update is the t6cc increase imo, amounts of other resources didn't get such a relatively drastic increase.

The high end tier catalysts are missing, and the other quantities are like 20% booseted from last year, when we now have daily access to most of them. It s a nice calendar overal, but way too far from "W".

T4 is pretty rare nowdays outside of radiance, but hey can't break game economy, there's only 21 r4s average above 100 with all having r4 nico and karolina and torch and phoenix but hey LETS NOT BREAK THE GAME ECONOMY.HAHAHA

The Crucible Realm event starting to lean towards becoming an L actually opened up a bit of space in the W budget, so they could afford this calendar, but only barely.

Ah okay this makes sense now. I wasnt factoring in the delta of the crucible event shifting from a W to an L.

This makes the inclusion of 20000 6* shards make way more sense.

I need to rebalance my W budget sheets to accommodate this

I think you're blending the W budget and the rewards budget a bit too much.

The rewards budget is 98% rewards, 2% fun, whereas the W budget is 80% fun, 20% rewards.

The Crucible itself is fun, so it leans heavily into the W budget because it hits the mark there. The rewards for the Crucible itself are also solid with a generic R4. But then we take the realm event into account and the large error of not counting revives and the slow crawl to play rewards is neither fun, nor rewarding, so the Crucible as a full W package doesn't quite make it there now.

The calendar is a W because you get some decent rewards for absolutely no work. So it hits the mark on fun and becomes a W. But, it still needs to fit into the reward budget, which again is 98% about the rewards and only 2% about fun. Getting 6* shards isn't fun for Valiants, so it fits perfectly, but it is also less rewards than could've been given, even if just another 2,500 7* shards, so it makes it fit the overall rewards budget of not being too rewarding when you take the rest of the rebirth event into account.

And if you add both of these budgets together, then you realize that the conversation around budgets is stupid and it never should've started.
