Why do people quit so early in bgs ?

Multiple times opponent has quit during banning or drafting bit before 1st fight has even started. Seems pointless cos it gives the other person a win without doing anything

I don't think this was a necessary question. They quit because they believe they will lose and don't want to waste their time.
