Been out of the loop for a bit, help please

I have several questions. Heard there's there's only 1 difficulty of EQ these days and for Elder's EQ we have to switch the attacker between each fight just like a few months back. I also heard players only get like 1 or 2 energy refills a month??

How are players who run recoil all the time for arena supposed to do EQ now? We can do it one sitting with recoil off but how is that possible if we only get 1 energy refill a month? Spend units??

Does 100%ing Elder's EQ still take the same amount of energy refills that the old difficulty did?

Also, do we still get a completion offer somewhere that give 10x 30% green boosts and 10x energy refills plus other stuff for 1000units? If so, where?

Depending on how long you have been gone there have been many changes to EQ.

1. First they reduced the number of defenders per path that meant less energy used in a complete run but the per step energy requirement was increased. It was still a net lower energy requirement and you can check this out yourself in the classic difficulty of EQ.

2. They launched the paragon gauntlet that was unlocked after exploring thronebreaker EQ. This involved a single path 3 champs per team and all 6 bosses from the thronebreaker quest. There were 3 champion switches in the middle. Paragon gauntlet was stopped in September 2025 (this month).

They tried 3 months of the valiant gauntlet which had no unlocking requirement.

3. First version (June 2025) was similar to crucible - one champ, swap after every fight and no healing in between with boss at the end. Only one path per quest. Very well received.

4. Second version (July 2025) had one path, 3 defenders then a champ swap and you could take 3 champs in the quest. All 3 champs have to be swapped at each champ swamp to proceed and every champ who wins a fight get a heavy degen when they win a fight. It essentially meant one champ per fight or you lose very quickly. Not well received because of difficulty levels and restrictive nodes. Plus you face the boss 3 times making it necessary to sweep bosses or use revives.

5. Third version (August 2025) is the same as the second version except they reduced difficulty and no. of defenders and split it into two paths giving more roster flexibility.

Now we have the worst possible version in September with adaptive difficulty, prestige based rewards and overpowered defenders. Plus we lost the relatively easy paragon gauntlet that kept a good supply of t6bc and t3a for 7*- rankups.
