He’s best used against dimensional beings (Mephisto, Galan, Chavez, Morningstar, Magik, Purgatory) but he’s best paired with Ghost Rider to expand Danger sense to villains or with Mephisto/Dormammu for all mystics
He is a little bland. However, I personally still use the Blade/Ghost Rider combo in Alliance Quests; and both are definitely useable and effective. They might be even better once Ghost Rider is reworked; although I'm slightly apprehensive because GR's utility is great if Blade is on the team.
Blade can inflict damage and gain power by parrying the opponent, which is useful.
His power gain ability when the opponent bleeds is the most important thing he does - he can throw two SP2s pretty much back to back if played well.
If debuffs are a problem, his ability to reduce their duration by up to 95% can be incredibly useful. I mostly use it for scenarios like Encroaching Stun, but he can even do lanes like Hazard shift, in a pinch, by parrying until he's at three bars of power, then playing without throwing a Special.
You'll want a few points in Deep Wounds to get the best out of him, damage-wise. It'll make his SP2 bleeds dramatically better.
Black Panther relic, to reduce the opponent's physical resistance, etc.
One correction: he gains power if his opponent is bleeding for any reason and he is nearby. He can cause bleed on parry to those not bleed immune.
