4 core monetization systems, and each have been increased the past year. Red flag?
The 4 core monetization aspects of this game: units, champs, energy, and revives. And kabam has secretly increased the value of each item without no one noticing or saying something. Desirable champs are now like $1000 (honestly enough said on that), event units bundle keep increasing with the previous banquet events requiring over 15k for the first time and most likely gonna increase again since kabam Mike once said that unit prices are increasing due to them moving around earnable units and adding more earnable units, they butchered the cheapiest revive farms making it cost much more energy to try to farm the same amount of revives and although we have the 2 free a day (which isnt enough with everest type content basically releasing every month) but they are cutting availbe energy for player making that much harder to farm revives outside of just the 2. And now, as I just mentioned, kabam is getting rid of the one mechanic that allowed ftp players actually get energy refills outside of alliance content cuz imma be honest ill open up like 20-30 of those 4 hrs crystals and get like two or three lvl 2 revives. I open those for quick refills and potions, revives were just a bonus tbh. Cuz why would I want to waste like 20 4 hrs crystals (which is 5 days worth btw) and only get one revive, the math ain't mathing. And the fact that the 4hr crystal drop rates are not avaible in game, i know that other player have experienced/formed the same idea that opening those crystals for revive farming will end up in energy waste, but that doesn't mean just get rid of the energy cuz lets face it they're not gonna increase the drop rate for the revives so we as a playerbase are just losing.
Anyway I can go on and on about the 4 hr crystal change since it's still fresh news lol but I just wanted to end this post with saying I love this game. I downloaded it a week after its release and used my hawkeye to beat almost every piece of content avaible back then. Was on and off until about 4ish years ago when I started to play consistently. And the game has never felt so pay to win as it feels now. Monetization has increased in all areas of the game units, champions, revives, and now energy. Which worries me cuz there only so much monetization a player base can handle before newer players just never try to engage in the game, casual players give up cuz they feel like they are consistently falling behind instead gaining traction. Then when its just the whales, they will start getting exhausted because the game seems to be prying every living cent off them and the only remaining players would be other whales, meaning that one could only get better by paying. And then the game will have who left?
