Can someone explain Magento's awakening ability?

Im very confused because in every discussion, poll etc, magneto's awakening gets over looked by other champs awakening. Mainly my question is with " Magneto's mutation prevents him from loosing more than 1749.2 health from any single damage source". I never hear anyone talk about this. Is this not broken? He cant loose more than 1.7k health from hits right. Most act 7 - 9 champs do like 8-10k per hit so its greatly reduced..

What star and level are you talking here.

His damage cap is close to 10% at max sig. Just like Fam. Or 15% in case of Odin prefights.

It's huge if you get hit, but useless if you don't. Doesn't really make him that much of a better defender, and doesn't add anything to what actually makes him a great champ. It is a good safety valve, but that's about all that it is.

Also worth noting that it only works on actual hits. Stuff that deals damage over time doesn't get capped. I don't think indirect damage like Jack's plasma bursts gets capped either. Finally, anything that reduces Magneto's ability accuracy would also reduce the chance of the damage cap triggering and cause him to take full damage for that hit.

not gonna lie, the burst damage on his heavy is absolutely worth max sig. BUT. he’s not the only 6* locked mutant that wants all the sigs, and your real win conditions won’t change that much awakened or no. it’s GREAT to have, but not a priority to get to his cool stuff. like AA ignoring like half the game’s mechanics… (love you Warren, you lethal SOB!)
