the GAP between free2play vs mid-spenders vs Whales

now with the Radiance existing for some time (i expect a crashed report)

many whales can get almost 1 R4 every month

free2play have like 10 R4 - ( with a lot of active plays BGs + war + aq)
mid-spenders have like 20+ R4 (the mysterium + celestial demons who also do plat + master level war)
then the whales with around 30 R4

the gap seems close now - it will get s**t high when Cyber + Banquet drops
then the discussion of hard defenders & crazy champs( nico + spiderwomen + jean + okoye ) against whom u will lose the speed race .

that all accumulate to many leaving the game ...... as casual players no longer enjoy the game like they used to (just my thoughts)

The whales have it so nice 😔. Grandfathered in to the top alliances all because they drop 10k a year on sales, truly remarkable

There's always a gap. It always widens at cyber weekend/banquet. Closes up during the rest of the year. Then the cycle repeats. Games still going. You'll be fine.

You’re never going to be able to come close to the whales no matter how much you play and how good you are. As a mostly FTP who occasionally spent, it never occurred to me to compete. I was just enjoying what I could do. The real issue isn’t the widening difference though, it’s the fact that it doesn’t feel like casual players matter anymore to the devs at all. The new EQ and dailies kinda prove it. 😑

I am an FTP player and I personally don’t give a **** if whale have more oppopportunities then me . In fact I think it should further , let them buy anything they want AS LONG AS THE REST OF THE GAME IS NORMAL

You clearly havent been playing the game if you think the gaps not been substantiated further than what it was in 2024 and years before.

Now we have, completely random filler champs paywall gated like Eidols. Trophy champs behind 36k units. Champs like RG and Torch that cost the amount of a brand new Playstation 5.

On top of all this, theres top 30 Prestige which is basically going to shaft any of the f2p players in competitive allies.

I seriously dont get how some people can post NPC like replies of "its always been the same" when almost every livestream adds a new form of monetization.

I think that's how they are creating a gap between players who are paying and those who don't.

i think if someone is paying definitely they should get the high end stuff and should treated highly.

personally what’s gets me is we had better and more enjoyable versions of everything . We had better EQ, we had better AQ, we had vastly better war but they destroyed it all because they get to nickle and dime us more with crappy versions of everything . It’s one thing to let whales get the top of everything but when you both give whales the top and try to squeeze every cent out of normal players ? It’s too much

Works like that since the beginning

Even if you quit MCOC and play other games, you are going to be in the same situation

Why TRANSFORMERS FORGED TO FIGHT, the robot equivalent of MCOC shut down is bcos no whales are willing to spend there, FTP players don't sustain a mobile game

The day whales stop spending in MCOC is the day you beg for them to return so MCOC won't shut down

CS isn't a mobile game

PC and console games work differently, you pay a price upfront

FPS mobile games are more fair in that they sell skins instead of power but MCOC doesn't work that way

The gap stopped closing when they started having sales every single month. It's only ever getting wider anymore.

I'm less bothered by the gap widening (since that is just Kabam trying to use FOMO to get people to spend), than I am by the design choices to create fomo.

I couldn't care less whether another player has 1 R4 or 30 R4s, but I do care that Kabam is just creating champions that are all about making whales need that defender/counter in their deck. That is just yet another champion that is annoying to face in regular content, and yet another champion that is designed for one game mode (as opposed to designed generally for the game).
