9.3 Thoughts

I finished up 9.3 and gotta say it was a light in the dark for Kabam here after all the controversy. I had so much fun especially with the doom fight. It was challenging but not too hard where you wasting away Revives on annoying mechanics. Man hopefully they bring that same energy with future events and 9.4.

I liked the Doom fight a lot and I didn't actively dislike anything about 9.3, but I went back to some earlier acts to do something and realized how much more fun I had there. Both the Paradox (Act 7) and Weapon (Act 8) nodes gave you some kind of boost if you played into them correctly. However, Act 9's Scourge nodes doesn't, really. It does give you a big burst of damage if you Eradicate them which obviously benefits you, but it doesn't change the way you play in any meaningful way like the other two node types did. I think that's a shame and it felt like a step backwards.

But the Doom boss is my favorite boss fight in a very long time. I loved it.
