Do the friendly signals do anything? I have 700…

So myself and other ally members have engaged in some friendly pranking/spamming by sending friendly signals constantly to each other. This has now meant that I have 580 in game mails, and about 700 signals in my stash. Are we going to get anything for these signals and is there any point to having them? Or is this just a pointless little gimmick. Honestly kabam I’ll take 1 titan shard per signal at this point.
