I don't get the Spiderwoman backlash

Ok, I get people don't want a nerf to a champ they ranked, but the balance team has acutal data to backup the change. My first reaction to the news was why do I have to band Spiderwoman in BG's for 3 months if the balance team says it is unfair? Isn't having an unfair advantage for close to 3 months reason enough for the rankup?

I also don't get Kabam's response is to tweak the nerf? The issue is new champ rollout. Tell me why this is not going to happen over and over again with future champs.

It seems as though whatever the other side does to try and fix things or "meet halfway", as they put it, there will always be those who refuse to forget what once was and focus on what could be.

Banning Spiderwoman for 3 months is not an accurate metric for the actual problem. We've been banning the likes of Serpent and Enchantress way longer, even after the balance team said they were satisfactory and "balanaced".

The issue is saying "this champ is fine offensively but needs a tweak defensively" (something that the majority of the community would actually agree with) & then proceeding to make changes that negatively affect her "satisfactory" offensive abilities. That's called misleading/oversight/ignorance or worse...

Kabam just needed to be honest & transparent and admit the champ overperformed overall and tweak them accordingly OR you know, take the easiest solution and change that 3 to a 4 or 5 on defense and align her rating with her actual performance and we're good to go.

Search for any complaint about spider woman as a defender, search the complaints on defenders like Serpent…

She is outperforming based on her defensive rating of 3.5? Well Kate Bishop has a pretty crummy damage rating, does that mean that if she ever gets releaed as 7* she will be nerfed to match that 2.5 damage rating?

SW is supposed to be 3.5 🤣def

So technically Destroyer sould be a better defender

They wanted her to be 3.5 but it came out to be higher but now my prediction is she is 3 on def 🤷
